Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Dont have to worry about a gf, it's my friends lol. They seem to think all Toyota's suck, even though they probably know deep down that in 15 years I will likely still be driving the same truck and their Chevy, Mazda, and Pontiac will probably be in a scrap yard somewhere! Although my friend that drives the lifted Chevy lightened up a bit on my Tacoma after I let him drive it during a super long day on the road and I needed to nap, he really had a fun time driving that 5 speed!

My wife thinks it's a little ridiculous. She likes to go offroading, but thinks that the obsession is a little out of hand.

My fear is that, if i die, my girlfriend will sell my truck for what I said i paid for it. Ha ha, just kidding. I've been totally straight up with her, she knows exactly what i paid AND how much i love that truck. She loves it too and was there the day i bought it. That would change if we couldn't afford to eat because of some new mod i added. Common sense?

The moral of the story is that i love that truck but in the end, it's just a thing. My girlfriend is a gift from the gods.

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
She thinks i'm silly about my truck, and how much time and $$ i've put in it. But it helps that just about wherever we go together, in the truck, she notices people looking at it, or asking about it. She also tells me while i'm driving when people are checking out my wheels and tires at stop signs or red lights....I don't say anything i just look at her and smile ;)

    after 26 years together...22 married...and countless trucks/cars/SUV's/motorcycles/boats...

my wife has long since given up on my vehicle addiction.

but, she has become rather fond of my Tacoma. it's easy to enter & exit, good on gas, inexpensive to own/operate, and has an interior much nicer and car/SUV like than most of the full size trucks I have owned.

however...she absolutely HATED my only other import truck, a 1986 Toyota reg cab 4x4 w/ manual tranny and not much else. I think a lot of it was the yellow-cream color paint. but that truck would go anywhere, and saved our ass many times when we used to live up north in snow country, and it was a great camping rig...and a good work truck back when I was a young carpenter contractor.

Mine gets a little upset that im under the hood of my truck atleast once every two weeks.

Other than that, she sees my wrench turning abilities as good, since she is one of those "oil has to be changed in a vehicle???" kind of people.

She's also starting to see my gun hobby as a good thing too.

She may be a keeper. Only time will tell.

My wife spent the better part of an evening brainstorming with me on the design of the swing out tire carrier or my new rear bumper on the way... Pretty much sums it up she likes the truck and doesn't mind the thousands put into it. Makes it even more fun!

Also, she hates all of my LED's and HID's on the truck. Thinks they look stupid and are gonna cause an accident... She doesn't like my muffler or wheels. She claims to like some stuff and then says all this bad stuff about my mods so I'm like uhhhh....
