Only 2 little gripes about the ignition lock. I can't see it and scratch the hell out of the area around it with the key. And with the key in the ignition, the lock/unlock fob swings in to the little cubby in the dash making noise. I guess if that's all I have to complain about I'm doing good.

US model needs a cold weather package:

    Heated seats
    Heated mirrors
    Headlamp washers

That's the only thing I really feel like I'm missing.

Like backup camera and dimmer however. would hate to totally get rid of it.

Thanks got it. Really happy about this mod being available:)

It's funny even after all this time I still jump the gun and post before searching the threads for a Fix.

Well I guess this will put me back at 0 issues with my new 2009 tacoma at this point. 24,000 on odo

The best thing about owning a Tacoma is having Tacomaworld by your side :)

Lacks 4BT option. The 4.0L v6 SUCKS on gas when you load the truck up and start towing. The 4.0L also runs out of power when towing ANYTHING! 4BT has 265lb-ft at 1600rpm... the 4.0L has 60lb-ft at 1600rpm and reaches its peak torque at 4200rpm... AND 4BT will get 20mpg all day long... I get around 12mpg with 1000lbs of equipment in the bed at all times.

And we all know how easy diesels are to modify... compared to the 4.0L which is anything but mod friendly unless you drop a big coin and get a supercharger.

Another thing is very weak stock leaf springs, they flat out suck donkey balls. In order to carry ANY weight in the back AAL is a must!

just wish the front vents on both sides of the steering wheel were spread out farther......when you got a/c on the air flow gets blocked by the ginormous steering wheel.......i think they're bigger in the 2012's than the older models, other than that it is finer than frog hairs split 4 ways!

To be honest, I had been drinking when I posted that...alcohol that is. The comment was a bit of the smartass variety, and for that I take it back -- certainly wasn't trying to offend anyone.

My own personal tolerance for temperature being what it is, I'd probably prefer cooled seats in the summer over heated seats any time (if they existed!). That's just me though... Heated mirrors, however, would be very nice here in the mid-Atlantic where we tend to get more sleet, ice and freezing rain than actual snow.

My only real point was to give Toyota props for actually having added many of the features listed on this thread from years back onto the newer models.

All good brutha. My wife is the same way, her body is on fire all the time (seriously). When we go anywhere warm she overheats quick (cooled seats would be a real option for her lol). I am more a tropics guy but I surf mid 40's ice water all winter long, broke almost every toe on both feet due to ice cream cone headache numbing water temps...heated seats, yes please! (Lexus, fk no lol)

I switched my spit bottles to the solid aluminum bottles that some energy drinks come in. Team Realtree Outdoor energy is the best so far. It comes in a cool camoflaged thick aluminum can with a screw on lid. You can just dump it out, rinse it and spit some more. It fits in any of the cup holders, and you can't see through it, so the hot chic beside of you doesn't have to look at your biohazardous tobacco waste!

You may already know this, but it wasn't on the older Gen 2 models.
