Actually the 50% is just like clear almost just a hint of smoke to it. But you would be surprised driving at night how much better it was. NO and I mean NO glare from headlights or street lights. And the rain glare forget it. Was like driving with no glass almost. I took it off for court and put it right back on when I left.

i think the front side windows are 70% from factory, so it is not much darker then those.

true. but if there is a lot of lights round where you drive/travel the most it should not be a problem. It is harder to look thru the rear few mirror and see cars and stuff.

I could see if you lived in a big city or something how it could help keep the glair down.

knoxville is not to big, but is pretty well lit up, till you get the far out shirts of the county and out of the city limits.

yeah. I don’t think i would do it. but once you think about how well you can see out the back glass, and it’s like 27%. 70% or 50% does not seam bad.

also in some states you can legally have a light tint on the windshield. I can’t remember if we can in TN or not off the top of my head.

I have my front windshield tinted to 70% and a friend has his FJ tinted to 50%. His I think is too dark and mine isnt dark enough so somewhere in the middle would be ok. Vegas is pretty well lit at night so its not too much of an issue with visibility. In fact most people dont even realize that I have my windshield done. With the extreme heat here its just one extra thing to help keep your car just a little bit cooler and protect the interior.

I don't like the seat height. I'm not that tall (6ft) and I find that when stopped at a stop light I cannot see the stop lights unless I duck down.

Anyone have a solution to lower the seats? Different (lower) seat rails maybe?

You'd only gain an inch or 2 max as the Tacoma seating position is more car-like anyways. How close are the stoplights to the line where you are supposed to stop lol? I mean sometimes I (5' 9") even have to duck a little bit just to see some lights.

I have to duck quite a bit. There are times that I cannot duck down enough to see the stop light directly infront of me. I have to look at the light that is down lower and on the side.

The line is normal I assume, as it happens with mostly all the stoplights I have stopped at.

The higher seat height does help when wheeling though. Haha

I can't buy a temperature control replacement knob. You have to buy the whole assembly. This is nuts.

I don't like how I can't use the backup camera when the tailgate is down because it's mounted on the tailgate for some perfectly good reason that I know Toyota has.

So what happens when someone steals your tail gate?? Or is it (TG) bolted on to the body these days?
