i hate the interior door handles!! They are so small and childish. For a truck, they look like they would work perfectly in a yaris.

Well, I shouldn't grumble, but there a few things that I kinda dislike on my truck right now:

    - no lever type 4wd control (used to using the lever type and personally, I like it better)
    - no locking gas cap (a big no-no, since vandalism is pretty high in my area)
    - the orange gauge lights. They are kind of irritating to my eyes, especially after driving another vehicle with green gauges

Yeah not really big issues, but just thought I'd chime in. Otherwise, I'm really getting to love this truck!

Too expensive.. they made the styling cheesy and bulgy for no apparent. Reason.. that being said, the Tundra is even worse in the styling department.

Not trying to piss anyone off here, but with some of these long lists of complaints why did you even buy the truck? When I bought my truck, I test drove one, took it on a bumpy st, put my foot on the gas to make sure it had the power I wanted, looked at all the options it had and did not have. Finally I argued price back and forth with the dealer till I got the price I wanted and thought was fair for the truck. With all the long list of complaints on here I feel like you did'nt look at the truck at all before you drove away with it, then got home and said WTF did I just buy. Is that how some people buy a vehicle? There are some things that I might change a little if I was designing the perfect truck, but I'm pleased with it. I knew what I was buying. If it had such a long list of things I did want or did'nt want, I wouldn't have bought it. That simple. People say well this truck has it and why not this, well if that other truck has it... buy that truck! IMO of course.

There's no such thing as a "perfect" truck, and overall, I love my Taco, but there are a few things I don't care for.

None are major, and I'm still happy I got my Taco, but the wish list would include:

Lack of Bose sound system and heated mirrors, the compass/temp guage is dim during daylight with the lights on, and of course, the mileage could be a lot better.

with All that said above, The only dislike that I have about my 07 AC 4x4 is the lack of oil pressure and volt. gauges, and the interior rattles, everything else I can remedy my self.... (does that make any sense??)..... by the way many have stated that the styling is "off", have you seen the new hilux?? they (international) want U.S. styling, we (gringo's) want their diesel...

Would also be nice to come standard with a lighted 4WD switch and 4 to 6 D-rings in the bed, not just 2 at the back. If you get a tonneau cover, the cover's rail goes inside the bed rail, making the tie-downs useless.

On my double cab, I wish all the window switches were auto up and auto down. My wife's car is like that, and it is nice. The truck has just the auto down on the driver's side. But don't get me wrong, I love it.
