Bed leds for soft toppers or caps. Maybe 4 pods connected to one tapped into dome

Damn Destin, reviving this from almost a year ago lol.
Ive thought about some full replacement license plate housings with angled LED. Since the OEM are notorious for leaking.

    Like headlight DRL? Grill lights?

I didn't even notice the original post was so damn old... I was thinking, "damn, doesn't that dude have enough irons in the fire?"

There's a fine line between accent lights and fire hazard... this may be skirting that line. :bananadead:

Yeah sorry about that lol. I have quite a thing for electronics! It runs in my blood. Grandfather was an electrician, father is an electrical engineer, and I am an MECP certified car electronics installer at the local big blue box store. I can’t help it

Saw some directwire pics you posted, so figured you were in the 12v scene.
I'm MECP as well. half my life in the industry and tought me a ton of skills (fabrication, wiring, etc). Plus I've always been a hands on guy.
Now if we can just figure out how disable the engine shutdown via remote start upon door entry... we'll be millionaires!

We employ more than half of the Master techs on earth and work closer with Directed and the like than probably any other company, and so far it hasn’t happened lol. The truck will drive off without the key in it so I don’t mind the shutdown. Makes me feel better when I smart start it from across town. I wonder if it’s something that could be disabled at the dealer? Doubt it, but who knows

Yeah, did some training down at the snake pit. If directed doesn't have a solution..unlikely no one else will(yet). I am just super OCD and that's the main reason I haven't installed one yet lol.

I know you have waaayyyy to many things going on now but if you ever make some tag lights I know several people who would be in! I didn't think it would be something that bothered me but the stockers look so dated!
Hope to see them some day soon!
Thank you for all you've done so far!

I know you have plenty of projects going on now but have you ever considered using laser lights for the high beams on your ultimate headlight mods? Baja Designs will be coming out with laser light options in a few months and currently several OEMs use lasers in their headlights. The distances are incredible and would truly make your headlights the ultimate.

Yes, I plan too. But laser right now is in its infancy and super expensive. I could purchase some BMW Or Audi lamps and yank the laser modules out but that's still $$$. When a commercially available, reasonably priced laser projector hits the market it's mine. Bajas is nice, but I don't want a light bar. ( and $1000 for 10"!)

Have you already done enhanced reverse lights?

That is something that I’m wanting to address now,

Puddle lights would be pretty cool. I think that’s what they call it? When you open your door, it shines from under the door sill onto the ground. My Infiniti has it and not gonna lie, comes in handy!
Maybe bed lights that are more secure and longer lasting than the led tape lights I’ve seen people use.
I had another but forgot. I’ll just add it in when I remember haha
