Holy Crap, that was harsh. He certainly doesn’t hold back. Unfortunately, he’s spot on. I don’t understand the point of the Ranger when someone could buy an F150 for the same price.......and get a useable bed. I traded in an F250 for my Tacoma......no regrets.

Surprised to see so many people consider a mid size truck among many unrelated vehicle types (sedans, wagons, SUV's, etc.) Seems like apples and oranges to me, but I guess everyone has his/her reasons for wanting a Taco. Or maybe it speaks to the versatility of the vehicle.

I tried the Tundra and 4runner. Honestly the Tundra was my favorite, but I didn't want to sign up to fuel it up every week. That pushed it to taco vs 4runner. I loved both vehicles. It really came down to the taco being just a little more utilitarian with the bed. Having the bed with the diamondback has been very handy.

Colorado, hates the interior but didn’t mind the rest all that much. Ranger came out after or I would have given that some thought

2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport (I wasn't impressed with its on road manners and the price tag for the options provided)
2014 Corvette Grand Sport M6 Coupe (2 door sports car wasn't a practical idea but I had to fight myself for this one)

Thought I wanted an 18 Jeep Wrangler. Drove one and the price was too much for a Two-Door, Low Power, Soft-Top, base model with no cargo room. Taco was far and away the best vehicle for the price to me. Only thing that drew me to the Colorado was the diesel option and it was still a few months away and was gonna break the bank.

Yeah, he’s usually fairly balanced, but the Ranger drove him nuts. I had to laugh when he names basically any other mid-sized truck (Ridgeline included) as a better option for the price and use. Also, his group is knowledgeable about tracking cars but not off-roading, so you’ll see that he didn’t even bother to take it onto the dirt.

I ended up buying the Taco then picking up a 94 Camaro Z28, I was lied to be about the title status of the 94 so it got scrapped. Now I have a 99 Camaro SS that im building as a 800whp turbo street car. That will hold me over for a couple of years till I can get my hands on a second hand C8 and set of twins.

Reminds me of my 06 Tacoma. Will be 2 years this December. No issues other than I had the radio head unit replaced. Volume control was a bit touchy. I have taken 3 trips of 1600 miles each with it. Comfortable enough to put in 800 mile in a day. Turning radius could be a bit better. Other than that no complaints. I might have bought a 2016 Tacoma but Toyota was not discounting them much back then. The Pro 4x was a better deal. ( yes, I know the Frontier does not hold its value as much as the Tacoma).
