My guess is it feels way faster because you're so low to the ground compared to that CX or the Tacoma lol, but probably with a better viewing angle so you see more of the world moving past you. Even an inch or two makes a huge difference. Prob the smaller chassis helping that feeling as well.

I will say again....I did not need to see this today lol. Might have to go test drive one this weekend.

My wife drives 2012 Miata, you know, the actual hardtop convertible version. It's a loaded touring edition, pretty much every option with a 6-speed manual transmission. My last on I-5 trip from western WA to central CA was just one flat road. The turns and the hills in southern OR are not even there. I passed some annoying Subaru driver who wouldn't get out of the left lane because he was doing the posted 65mph. I dropped from 6th to 4th and punched it while dropping to the right lane. I looked down and the MX-5 was doing 100mph with the tach at about 7000 rpm. It was effortless, as the Subaru disappeared behind me. (Then I realized that with Washington plates I shouldn't be doing 100 in Oregon. :ballchain:)

It's a fun car, but I'll let her drive it before I get myself arrested. I'm a lot safer for everyone else in my Tacoma or one of my aircooled VWs. :turtleride:

I'm planning to convert my 2018 Sprinter into a camper van and could really use some ideas and construction plans. I also found a site with diy sprinter van conversion kit and would love to hear your thoughts and any advice you might have. Is it worth buying something like this? I'm looking for a bed/cabinets setup that's both functional and space-efficient. If anyone has experience with this or any tips or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate your help. Photos of your setups would be incredibly helpful too!

Well the old girl finally made it in the shop. 300 inline 6, 4 speed on the floor, has a high performance intake, a nice header lowering springs on the front. Needs floor pans and the engine spins freely. So I'm planning on trying to get it to run, then see if it does a burn out. But first I need to get some new battery cables as they are all sorts of chewed up from mice.
