Just the key fob... like all of our family vehicles, that is the only “key” we have on us at the time. Entire home is a “smart house”, so no other keys required. I’m looking forward to auto manufacturers allowing smartphones with Near Field Readers to enable the start process on cars. After all, you don’t even need to check in to most hotels now as high end establishments use eKeys.

I have never understood key chain/fob jewelry. I must be too old.

Leatherman Micra rarely use it but comes in handy and a cut bike chain because a motorcycle chain would’ve been a bit cumbersome.

    Im a bit OCD..

I dont like the rest of the keys swinging around from the Steering wheel when I am driving around... so my key is running solo.

I've seen too many ignition switches fail from wear caused by the weight of a key ring full of 'stuff'.

Therefore my key ring has the fob, the truck key and a house key.

Many of the tools and trinkets shown in these pics are on another key ring, in the glove box. Occasionally they get used. :D

I still prefer simple mechanical. When the electronic wizardry breaks, it will be pricey to fix. And I still anticipate the day 'disruption of service' attacks will be targeted at such devices, and the pandemonium that will follow.

No, I'm not a prepper. Yes, I have a smart phone and use several apps. However, I dislike bundled services from vendors (ie cable, internet, phone) because one failure can affect all, and I'm sure not going to make a smart phone the center of my world to access things.

House key, work key, trailer key, and emergency bottle opener. Tailgate key, bike lock, and the full set of camper keys sit in the center console.

After seeing the thread on making a smaller fob I was actually curious as to why make it smaller. Personally, I keep a decent amount of stuff on my key ring. I have a flash drive, a tile pro(I lose my keys quite often,) my gun locker key, house key, business key, apartment gate fob just to name a few. That thing wouldn't really make much of a difference in my case. I also have a SOG Keynife as well. I mostly use it to open mail and junk, but I absolutely love having it always with me. Best 10 bucks I ever spent.

Love the beverage entry tool. Have a few of them around but never made it to my key chain.

actually, smart thing access is already switching to wearables, aka Apple / Samsung Watch type devices. Once 5G is fully intergrated, all “computing” will be in the cloud and not on the user end device, so technology will exponentially increase again... everything will be cloud computer controlled; cars, planes, trains, houses, TV and game consoles, etc... SkyNet deployment is just a matter of time -lol
