Do I need to be carrying the whole stack of papers I got from ICBC when I purchased my insurance? Or just the first page that outlined the vehicle ownership and policy? Do I need to be carrying the transfer of ownership forms I and the previous owner signed, or can I leave those at home?

i.e. what are the minimum documents (besides my driver's license) I have to keep in the vehicle when driving it?

…you probably shouldn’t be operating a motor vehicle.

"License and Registration please" ..or so I've heard..
Doesn't your ICBC broker give you a tidy little envelope that holds them all?

Same here in Ohio. Although you'd be lucky to get 2 outa 3 from a considerable part of the driving public...:notsure:

You need your BCDL (driver's licence) your proof of insurance and your vehicle registration. You don't need your transfer papers unless you are running on your past insurance, you don't need your payment plan details, you don't need your credit/debit card receipt either.

I’d say it was about 50-50 when I was on the job of drivers having the correct paperwork.

What’s ICBC? Sounds like either a beer or some type of irritable bowel thing .

Now a days you can usually get your insurance ID right on your phone. Registration should be kept on you, not in car. This way if you leave keys in car and they break into the car they can’t drive to your house with your keys to steal your crap. You license/ID always have on you.

I also have my prison ID tattooed on my ass just in case:hattip:

Insurance Corporation of British Columbia… which should mostly sound like.. “how would you like to pay?”.
