I have a idea is what wheel hop is but im not exactly sure??? I am wondering if a traction bar would make a difference in the stiffness of the tacoma ride, or would it make it stiffer? Please help me figure this out.

It's the wheels bouncing when cornering or launching.

IIRC it won't stiffen the suspension at all.

An X bar will stiffen the rear frame. That may help.

    Traction bars will help though.
