Im looking to change the gear oil and transfer case oil. Red line has two types: one for lsd and one not and u can add their lsd additive and Valveline synthetic is for lsd. My question is if the oil is for the axels with a lsd do u still have to put friction modifier in with. Also do u want that oil for lsd in the transfer case and front diff?

if you have a lsd on your truck get the redline 75-90 with the additive already in it. You don't need to add extra. I got valveline gear oil and added the additive separately and it chattered real bad, so I ended up getting redline and it went away instantly. The trans uses mt-90 which you can also get from redline. Not sure on the transfer case, but I would assume its the same as the trans. The front diff doesn't require additive.
