Is this another cubby or space with a drawer something?
Just to the right of the steering wheel.
Ignore the wires, I'm putting a switch in there, but I need a backing plate.
Trying to figure out what was there originally.

Small tray..not a slideout or anything though. I wonder if @AR15xAR10 might have one to sell cheap?

Small tray, I believe on manual trucks it's the parking brake.

I cut mine up to use the back of the cubby to mount my switch panel to. Worked perfect. Retained the clips, too, so super easy to give it a yank to pull out and connect/change/add wires.

    Right on!
    Thanks all!

While a cubby would be handy, I have a switch I was thinking about putting there and 3-D print a backing plate to fit in that space

Oh, I see - @OffroadToy you used that stock piece and cut it so it became the backing plate?

I cut my cubby as shown, leaving only the back section.

    upload_2025-7-24_12-19-44.png

I then screwed in the swivel mount to what remained. It does leave an opening below the horizontal cut red line above. That's where my wires run through. But if you were actually using the backer as a switch panel, you might not like the open hole, aesthetically.

For manual transmission, not automatic. Dash area is different between the two.

I just drilled 2 holes in the front of the cubby (stayed toward the right to avoid accidently hitting the switches with my knee.) I could see the back of switches/wires from drivers seat. Ended up making it less noticable with a piece of black painted cardboard... used 3m tape to secure. No backing plate.
