What goes in this empty spot in the engine bay?

I noticed this empty spot in the engine bay & was wondering if anything goes there on some models.

 

the battery in the prior models. so likely a hold over from some parts used before... or wire in a 2nd battery or use that space for accessories

 

Sport model has the battery in that location (front driver side).

Edit: Didn't realize we were talking 4th gen. 3rd gen sport has the battery there. Don't know about 4th gen.

 

Probably room for a Flux Capacitor.

Looks like Toyota left a empty spot for upgrades. Curious, did they leave room for a second 12 volt battery under the rear seat in the hybrids?

looks like a good spot for an air compressor

 

I was thinking this was a good location for an aux fuse/relay block. Like an Auxbeam or ??. I got those pics when I was at a dealership and wondered if that was a good place for that.
