I’ve always wanted a Browning .25 for some reason.

    A thing or two...
    Browning BPS and RIA 1911.

The Browning was a special edition the did for a couple of years. 20" cylinder bore barrel, 5-rd mag tube, and synthetic stock. It ran super smooth, and I shot it really well. My buddy kept bugging me to buy it, and I wanted to try out a Mossberg 930. I sold it to him for more than what I paid for it to buy the 930. The 930 is a good gun, but I don't shoot it as well as that BPS.

The RIA is a similar story. My buddy wanted to buy it, and I'd just picked up a S&W E-series 1911. I sold it to him for what I had into it. The S&W is great, but I can't use it in the competitions that I used to shoot. If I ever get back into that I'll have to buy a new 1911 to shoot Single Stack class or stick to other classes.

I didn't necessarily get rid of them, but they were to be passed down to me and then my son. 308 Savage that sits in my deceased Dad's gun locker in his fat arse ex wife's house. Along with an old 20 gauge, double barrel shotgun and quite a few other pistols. 308 was used to take down my first deer at 14. Really hope to get that particular gun back some day.

Just material shiat but dang it.

My first .22lr, an Erma M1 carbine style made in West Germany that was a great gun.
A Ruger No. 1 in 375 H&H that I traded to help pay for a longarm quilting machine my wife wanted who has yet to use it once, 8 years later.
The moose horn grips from a single six. Don't know why I didn't put the originals back on and keep the moose horn.

I bought a S&W Model 66 no-dash in 1979 and kept it 26 years, then sold it to a friend and have regretted it ever since. I finally replaced it this year with a M66-1. In 1985 I bought a Daewoo K1A1 (Korean issue assault rifle in .223/5.56) and sold it to a coworker in 2007, also regretted it later. No regrets about WHO I sold them to, just that I sold them at all, given what their prices have risen to since then. The K1A1 picture is a stock internet image, not my rifle; but mine was identical. I sold it for 5X what I paid for it, and it's now worth about 3X what I sold it for. Other pic is the M66-1 I recently found, unfired with box and paperwork.

Very sad. I'll never get rid of my Golden 39A. My dad bought that when I was a kid, and I inherited it when he passed. It will stay in the family forever.

I traded a camper shell for a 66-4 with a 3" barrel. I've contemplated selling it a few times but know I would regret it if I did.

I had a Fabriec National (FN) 7mm mouser long gun, beautiful wood stocked long barrel First World War gun. Lost it in a bad truck deal, dumb ass move in my younger days.

First Gun I got rid of and regret was a plane jane Remington .243 that my dad bought me when I was 16. Lost it to a pawn shop back in the early 80's when I was hard up for cash. Second was DW Guardian 45 ACP that I just sold last year. I had endured 3 spine surgeries and was having problems standing still and shooting, so I thought it deserved a better home. In January 2020 I had my 4th spine surgery and the shaky standing still problems went away. Like they say, hind sight is 20/20. really regret getting rid of it now.

Romanian SAR 1 - it was relatively cheap and totally reliable, decided to standardize on ARs but that thing was seriously fun.

Also regret letting go of Springfield TRP operator. I didn’t invest the time to learn how to shoot it well and let it go but I keep getting bit by the 1911 bug every few years...expensive

I still have mine that I purchased in about 1980. I don't have the 8 inch barrel anymore, but do have a 4" and 6". Those pistols made in Monson where the best. I'd put it up against a same year Colt Python as far as accuracy goes.

Same time frame here. Bought from a gunsmith/friend. He did a trigger job on it that took it to the next level. Amazing firearm. Water filled gallon milk jugs set waaay out, talk about a blast! Looking back, dumb young buck, didn't know what I had....:notsure: :(

The New Dan Wesson Revolvers are way overpriced in my opinion, or should I say to expensive for my wallet. Would really like to shoot one though, and compare it to the older one I have.

Good to hear your health is in better standing then. A older gentleman in his early 70s who used to help me, spent most of his life until recent surgery and walked upright for the first time in his life. He said brought a tear to his eye, darn near did mine too just knowing how bad it was for him.
