I know Bass Pro bought Cabela's but I never thought they would gut it out like this. Looking online for a new pair of coveralls for my 14 YO son and all they have is qty (2) actual options for full on camo coveralls: Red Head Silent Hide and Red Head Silent Stalker. They used to have at least (10) different products of this sort. I've been a Cabela's loyalist for many many years and this is a sad day. :(

I noticed the difference, too. My favorite shirts are no longer available. Other things have changed in their lineup, too. Guess that is life.

The merger sucks. I wish they kept their identities separate as much as possible or have cabelas specialize in hunting and bass pro in fishing.

There are no mergers - only takeovers. Cabelas, for all intensive purposes, is as good as gone.

I agree, Bass Pro started selling shitty products and is now flooding them into Cabela’s

I used to shop online at Cabekas often and in store at Basspro but will not touch either one now. I really wish that “merger” had not taken place.

I guess you can return them to Basspro when they shut down Cabelas if they don’t. It’s a bummer because to me Cabelas had the nicer stuff but this is jus another sad example of yet another company not being able to make it. Sad.

I went online to Cabelas to buy a blaze orange down jacket to replace one I got from them a few years ago and it doesn't exist. In fact, they hardly have any blaze gear listed online. Lame.

Cabelas was ok , I just bought a new Cabelas hunting pack and i love it. Bass pro was good untill they started bringing in there bass pro brand on everything and replacing the good stuff with there branded stuff.

I also tried to bring back a pair of "waterproof" Rocky boots I got last deer season that were soaking wet the 2nd day of deer season this year (wore for maybe 10 days total) and was told to kick rocks. No more satisfaction guarantee. They go by manufacturer's warranty now which is 1 year on Rockys. I'll never buy that brand again...and bought Danners somewhere else.

My last pair of Rocky boots were complete trash, by far the worst and most uncomfortable boots I’ve ever owned. I used to love hem but geez these were terrible. I just wear my Kamiks now because they are warm and totally waterproof.

I don't even look at the Cabela's catalogs when I get them any more - right into the recycling bins. Always did that to the Bass Pro/Red Head catalogs anyway.

Cabela's BRAND gear used to be great, especially their Dry Plus waterproof clothes. Gave an orange camo jacket to a neighbor whom I deer hunt with last year.....still waterproof after 20+ years.

Rocky's used to be great when they were made in Athens, Ohio....no longer made in USA, I think. Even Danner's aren't what they used to be. Bought a pair of Goretex ones for work (Forester) a year ago and they have been leaking for months. I only work part time and I bet I only wore them for 10 weeks total!

Not sure what brand to try next....wore my older Cabela's Dry Plus boots in the rain opening day in Pa. yesterday and came back to camp with dry feet.

Closed out my Cabela's Club VISA in the fall after the 'merger' and forfeited my free bonus points in the process. The guy asked why and I told him I wouldn't buy anything from Cabela's ever again.
