Ok..my $.02 . I don't really care for the look of the 1st gen Taco. Then again a lot of the trucks in that time period don't look good to me. Sorry guys..if you like em that's cool, but they ain't on my wish list.

Within days of me buying my 2012 I am parked out front of the dealership when a guy in a mint 91 Tacoma rolls up behind me, gets out and tells me what a beautiful truck I have. I thanked him and walked up to his, admiring the love he had put into that 91. He told me he bought it new and that he cold probably get damn near what he paid for it now. I believed him as it was almost showroom condition. I have been in love with 1st gen Tacos ever since and am now in the market for one. (ain't giving up my 2012 though)

Moral of the story.......it's all in what you love. If you love your 1st or 2nd gen then cool. Either way, they truly are a beautiful machine.

A Tacoma with a Bugatti engine in it...would that damn thing even fit in our beds? A tacoma would fly apart in no time lol. 1001 hp is enough to make me mess myself.

That Wacker is only one of 6 ;)

Three Dovos, including a Bismark, a Boker stainless, and an $8 Gold Dollar that Seraphim put an amazing edge on with his magical lapping film.

I'm working on growing the balls to use my 2011 R41 DE to shave my head, though I have used the straights on a number of occasions.

Ya... Because once I get into a 1st gen, it's impossible to get my 6'3" 200lb body back out from behind the wheel!

^I'd buy it if it has the exhaust brake option. Flip a switch and make loud big rig sounds when going downhill.

Toyota is just looking at the market realities. Sales of small trucks have been steadily declining for many years, prompting most manufacturers to drop them entirely. The Tacoma, now as a mid-size truck, targets a slowly growing (relatively so) market segment.
