I ordered some AALs for my OME lift a while back which finally got delivered today. I go to pick up the box and it is incredibly light. So I brought it inside and opened it immediately. This is everything that was in the box:

D87F5F60-07FE-45C7-95C9-A60AA0C033AE.jpg There were no springs! They literally shipped me an empty box! I have had good experiences with Wheeler’s in the past. I feel like I have been scammed since the label says the box was 40lbs, how could everyone have missed this? Has anyone else had issues with them?

I did, they’re closed. I just don’t see how this would even happen

I’m going to try but I’ll be on flights half of the day. I’m going to shoot them an email. The more I read up on it the more I see people talk about how they’ve gone down hill since being bought out, but this is another level

I had a pretty good experience with them a few months ago, I feel like this is just a huge mistake somewhere!

The box didn’t look tampered with at all. I wonder if I can get actual package weight from ups

I have bought shit from them with 0 issues and fast shipment. A lot of people have complained but again. I’m sure it is a misunderstanding.

Ups it’s open, call them. And explain the scenario so you can start building a case.

The perfect crime. If that box ever contained springs the cardboard would be deformed from the weight and shifting around. They definitely sent you an empty box. Must have been a Friday at the warehouse.

Wheelers/LowRange/TrailGear/AllPro - all the same and terrible. Their attention to detail sucks, can't assemble coilovers correctly. Neglected to assemble with a trim packer even when it was requested and paid for. 1 coil wasn't seated correctly on the perch and the rest of it was at a bad angle. I ended up having to disassemble myself and re-do. Horrible customer service, horrible approach to addressing any issues/questions. Never did get the call back from them either.

@jeg0005 Did you call Wheeler's or did you try Trail Gear? Call trail gear, that's where they most likely shipped them from (Fresno, CA).

Wheeler's AND LowRange were both awesome to do business with BEFORE the buy out.

Now they're shipping empty boxes? WOW. Hell no, done with that clown show. I will never purchase from any of those companies again.

On second thought, DO NOT waste your time with it. Call your credit card company, explain what happened and let them deal with it. Give them tracking info. They should be reaching out to wheelers and UPS to conduct their investigation. Wheelers should be filing the claim with UPS, not you.

Good Luck, hope it works out!

EDIT: Oh and last time I had leaf springs shipped to me from Wheelers (before the buy out), they shipped them individually wrapped in about 20 lbs of shrinkwrap! lol. That cardboard box would be mangled AF and that little paper wouldn't have protected the packs from each other in shipping. Horrible.

Did you track the package on UPS website? That would show the shipped weight. If it shows 1 - 2 lbs., or whatever that box weighs, you know they shipped an empty box.
