Friends - I just had a simple bummer replacement and when I got my truck back the license plate lights did not work. Let me know what you think may have happened here. IMG_6790.HEIC.jpg

Looks like someone cut the wires on what may be a stock $5 dim light and called it a day.

My friends you are all spot on. The lights were a set of plug-and-play LED upgrades I put in about a year ago. The repair shop (insurance-directed) called me to give an update and when I asked about the license plate lights being moved over. The person on the phone started with.. "they were installed wrong" I asked what he meant since they were working when I brought the truck in. He swapped his statement to, "I mean, the wires were cut" I interrupted and asked what do you mean, how did that happen? He quickly backpedaled and said I mean they were loose. I proceeded to ask how could the lights be installed incorrectly, cut, and loose in the same phone call? The shop owner reached out to me asking to speak so they could "Make it right"

To clarify these lights are nice cheap little upgrades. you pull the bulb out of the OME and just plug in the chip and you're done.

Once they fix this little thing, probably never go back to that shop again.
