The truck goes from lug lug lug to ROOOOMP just after 3500 rpms.

I have an AFE intake and can hear a distinct audible difference at the switching point. The intake path opens up, whether it be the TB or valving or something...

I was curious if this is an Atkinson to Otto switch, or just a variable cam adjustment or what? @OVTune may have the most knowledge in this, but I figure others likely know.

    Thanks!

I think it says " at 3500 rpm the engine kicks like a mule and goes from lug lug lug donkey to romp romp like racehorse that's been shot in the ass."

"I know the answer to your question, but instead of telling you I'm going to hand you a 100 page document and tell you to read it, because reasons. Get fucked."

Your response was a legit great answer to the question "Hey, does anyone have something I can read to become more knowledgable about the engine in my truck?" Cool resource, bookmarked. Wasn't the OP's question though. :D

Anyway, now that I've done enough shitposting, thanks to folks who answered, I learned some things.

Having owned a S2000, I can say that yes this truck drives like it has vtec. More like the B16 though, gutless until 5500, and then less gutless.
