Just had mine do this this morning. 3º in Chicago. Instead of using a knife spray the exterior rim of the window with some rubbing alcohol. I keep a spray bottle of this in the truck as a de-icer. Frees it up very quickly without having to risk damaging the squeegee.

At what temperature does 91 isopropyl alcohol freeze?

Isopropyl alcohol becomes increasingly viscous with decreasing temperature and freezes at −89 °C (−128 °F).

I may try spraying some silicone lube on the window / felt joint then move the window up and down. Might work.

Apparently the seams on the evaporator box aren't plastic welded correctly during manufacture. Go back to the dealer and ask them to seal it better. May have to reach higher up on the box or use a different sealer. Replacing the evaporator box is an option, but it requires taking apart the whole dash, with the added possibility of broken clips and new rattles when done.

Make sure the evaporator drain tube is clear.

Let us know if silicone works. I worried it would end up all over the glass.

Was just about to do it but first sprayed alcohol on the joints to unstick any potentially stuck windows. Rears popped loose but they were frozen, so good.

Seems the alcohol is viscous enough at these low temps to not evaporate very quickly. It remains on the windows after rolling them up and down. Alcohol is supposed to displace water so, if it gets into the felt, I'm gonna see just how long it takes for this initial fix to last before trying the silicone spray. BTW, the silicone's freezing point is -28º.

I'm gonna just wipe the windows down to clear the alcohol. It'll take a few times but, as long as some is retained in the felt, should be okay.

Hmmm, just read alcohol can damage rubber over the long term. Once this temp fix stops working I'm gonna do the silicone.

Sorry for the multiple edits but, who knows what these window squeegees are made of? Rubber? Vinyl? Roast beef?

3 years and 55k miles later, happy to report no serious issues as of yet. However at about 40k miles it developed a leak at where the t case meets the trans. It was the rear trans output seal, t case had to be removed to access the seal, was covered under warranty. The truck has seen heavy off road and towing use. 2.7 4x4

oil changed every 5-7k miles with 5w-30
Rear diff fluid changed at 20k miles with Amsoil severe gear. No other repairs or fluid changes made

2016 OR AC with around 112k miles. Replaced the passenger side primary cat at 98k miles, which was a bummer. No other issues to report so far.

No issues on any of the gens I've had. First thing I do is spray a ton of NH Oil Undercoating on it when I buy it. Repeat yearly.

A buddy of mine hasn't had any issue yet from his 2021 frontier either. He always has to remind me what a pos his 2019 trd was. The frontier has no vibrations, and the power is far smoother. I've ridden in it when we took it to one of his fishing spots. To be fair, it's a nice truck, every bit as good as my sr5. I just hate getting reminded of it.
