Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
That sucks, unless you took it in and got the frame coated and it failed later you are now pretty much hosed as the recall campaign is over. You're really going to have to fight them now if you want it replaced, and with a truck with that many miles is it really worth the hassle if you're not all that dedicated to it? 475k is an assload of miles, most vehicles are lucky to make the 200k mark before they get sent to the car compactor club, truck nearly has a half a million miles on it so you just never know what's bound to go next, could be the engine, transmission, any of the diffs could go and it would cost big money to have them fixed. Best advice I can give is nag the shit out of them and never let up until you get results if you want a new frame and are dedicated to keeping the truck, only way people get through to the corporate heads at Toyota is being a thorn in their side.

I should hear back from Toyota corporate this week sometime regarding the initial recall. You are correct about the likelihood of problems with major systems, but it would be nice to get the current problems resolved so that I can sell it for something more than junk anyway.

I can do the nagging and I also have a lawyer who is working with me on clearing the estate, so nagging is a possibility.:)

I saw a post when I was reading various threads about frame rust where the person had repaired the damage. Darned if I can find that thread. Does anyone have a link to that?

    Tnx, Larry
