It's not always less care that causes issues. You'd be surprised how many companies use cheap thin cardboard boxes with poor or no inside protection when shipping heavy and fragile products. I see this almost every day. If a product is packaged properly it should arrive with no damage and the packaging should me intact. I have actually seen dozens of boxes of drinking glasses that were to be delivered to a new restaurant that was opening that had absolutely no protection inside the boxes to separate the glasses. Needless to say over 90% of them were broken. If a company uses cheap thin packaging there is a much greater chance things will get damaged.

@sroloson, the attached photos show the only part number we could find as well as the mount points on the body. I called the local parts department and they couldn't give me any info on them, don't know what was up with that.

@rock09 said he took them off his 2021 Tacoma right after he picked it up from the dealership because he needed something to use as a step. These are too close to the body to use as a step. They are bolt-on sliders by Toyota. They aren't super thick walled and bolt to the body not the frame so they aren't meant for heavy duty protection. I wasn't really looking for that anyway. They are perfect for what I was looking for. A real slider look without the price or weight

I like that they look a little more finished than the pinch weld under the rocker. I would have loved to pick up some Cali Raised 25 degree bolt on Rock Sliders with a bed liner finish, but I was trying to be a little realistic about my ultimate use of them

This Part# was posted a while back for the OEM rock-rails.
Some Regions offer different items, and the part numbers may be different.

It’s not for MPGs, but highway stability. You can easily feel a difference above 60mph especially with a crosswind or passing tractor trailers. ;)

On the flip side of that I have received a 12 pack of small post-it note pads in a 12x12x8 box with a ton of bubble wrap!:rofl::rofl: Talk about overkill!

It looks amazing in my opinion. As far as being OCD, I’m yet to find anyone more OCD than me. In my opinion, while its not an exact match, the caps complement the rest of the wheel very well. I’ve been wondering if lugnuts covers in black would make it look even better.

Yesterday I drove my Taco to a collaborative meet between 5 local Toyota/Overlanding groups here in Virginia, just north of Richmond.

This one is next for me. Let's get all of the practical and useful additions out of the way and then move on to ones that destroy mpg.

Installed front seat Jackers. What a difference! Anyone on the fence about spending the money - don't hesitate, you won't regret it.
