Those WT shades are by far the best available. Had a set in my Forester and bought a new set for the Tacoma.

They are awesome at keeping the car cool, but also great for sleeping in your car at a rest area since they provide absolute privacy.

 

Nope. They are so far away from the internal of the head unit.

 

They also have different versions: grogu sipping tea, eating a frog, or a cookie. I removed the plastic plate at the bottom by twisting it off then used some magnets with 3m adhesive. Love this little guy.

 

I like the idea to use the diamond back cleats! Do you have any issues with the wiring while opening and closing the cover?

Well I went and ordered the OEM audio system 500 today (amp, sub woofer and wiring harness)
They say it’s a 30 day lead time, I guess a lot of people are thinking like me, or I’m thinking like a lot of people.

 

It's all a matter of perspective.

I think they manufacture them as ordered- don't stock them.

 

Hell of a lot better today, 79 here in Western wa.

 

Nope, I just made sure that the wiring harness I made had enough slack to accommodate the tail panel opening. I installed adhesive zip tie mounts and the kept the slack on the tail panel. I also have deutsch connectors on the front of the bed so that I can still remove the cover when I need to use the bed space. I'll reply with a photo of the wiring harness when I get the chance later today.

 

I have it installed, with the added subwoofer in my AC… it’s not the massive system in my civic but it’s a clean install and doesn’t require any warranty violations, so I’m digging it.

 

Was about time I found a more usable solution for these!
