FINALLY got around to throwing my @MESO Method center caps on and ceramic coating my NV305s. Used Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour and I’m pretty impressed with the gloss/sheen improvement so far

Took WAY longer than I earmarked for so I only did the rears, but hot dog am I happy with them

Guess I’m joining the 3rd gen club lol. Just traded in my 2014 for a 21 trd sport long bed. Time to start a new build. Suggestions for 3” lift. Thinking going kings this time with KM3s.

It's steel. About 61 pounds with the extension (35 w/o). I would determine what you're going to use it for before pulling the trigger on anything.

Makes me wonder if that was you that I passed at one point while I was down there. Can’t recall if it was in Rodanthe or when I was headed to the go cart/mini golf place about 30 min south of Rodanthe though. Just recall seeing another Barcelona Red DCLBOR while I was on vacation.

AC leaks inside the passenger footwell
So further research via Goggle on my leaking AC inside the truck has revealed a few interesting things. I noticed on buying the 3rd Gen that when you press the AC on the recirculate comes on as well. Yes, this is MAX cooling to cool off the air inside the truck. But I choose not to do that to get fresh air and not recirculate my cigarette smoke through the cabin air filter. So I always turn off recirculate unless the diesel truck in front of me lets out black smoke or I need MAX cooling but do not smoke while recirculating.

Seems those that have had the inside leak do not use the recirculate either. Those that do leave it on recirculate do not experience this issue. I can see where more moisture is brought into the system using outside air and maybe this is how these AC units are now. If you get too much condensate at once it can't drain it off fast enough. This may be the reason it leaks as it does not do it right off the bat, it is after it has been running for quite some time.

The drain line has already been blown out so it is not clogged. I got all the pieces to do the drain mod extending the hose beyond the frame and so glad I had not done it yet as that mod when had been blamed for the issue. I don't want the dealership to tear into my dash far enough to get to all of the AC unit if there are no known issues in this leak thing.

I will try it out on recirculate and see what happens. I guess I could make a small funnel-shaped something to catch the leak and direct it to the rubber mat so the carpet does not get wet over and over. It ends up on the mat as it runs off the carpet but something to catch it would make it miss the carpet. Hmmm, I do have some black corrugated plastic that might just work and not stand out like Aluminum foil would. leak1a.jpg

I actually had this happen for the first time while on my way back from vacation. The one thing I realized I had done is left the AC on while turning the temp gauge to the middle between hot and cold. I normally leave it full on cold when AC is on. I thought it was maybe just a condensation issue from leaving it on that setting of half hot and half cold.

You may have something here as I do that to control the temp of the air coming out. Will try to leave it on full cold without recirculating to see if that clears it up. Thanks for the input.

Yeah I'm a hobbyist detailer, nothing crazy like PPF installs or even touch-up paint, but I can do 2 step corrections and ceramic coating.

I used Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour after I cleaned, de-greased, and wiped down the wheels with a surface prep spray.
