Sweet set up but looks like you're pretty squatted in the back. Still on stock suspension with all that weight?

worst part about it is I got it 7/16. But I’ve had so much running around to do for just random things. It doesn’t help I love driving this thing.

It might have just been the angle- tent and cap only weigh about 300lbs total. From the side it still sits pretty level on the stock pro suspension. Measured today and the rear sits about 1/2” higher than front still.

But I’m certainly not opposed to a lil suspension lift & level if needed here soon.

Take a look at the Road Master Active suspension. I have been quite happy with this product.

You're right, at a flatter camera angle looks level to me too.

Today, I removed the TRD Off-Road decals on the rear fender panels. Makes for a much cleaner look.

My girlfriend has a cricut and I was thinking of doing the same decal in Matte Black, however, I haven't convinced myself quite yet.

Do you use anything to keep the rod from bouncing around in he tube and getting scratched?

for long trips or super rough roads I can use a rod sleeve if necessary. But otherwise the plastic sleeve inside the rod tube tends to keep the rods from scratching while in transit.

I had to add a parking assist measure to my garage for the wife’s RAV4, but chose to go with one of those laser units. I wasn’t sure if constantly bumping a stick like that would eventually wear on the bumper paint. After several years it has worked well. As soon as the laser crosses the windshield and hits the dash, my wife knows she is in far enough to shut the garage door, but not so close that she can’t get past her front bumper to get up the stairs. Having a house built in the 1930s does have some disadvantages.

    :annoyed:
    Laser parking assist.

edit: The scooped hood looks great by the way!

Since you have your rod tube mounted to both the bed and cab are you not worried about bed flex? I have the Yakima double haul and only have it attached to the shell as I was concerned about the flex.

Tent bolts to RSI cap, Rod holder bolts to crossbars on cab.

I mounted the tent with 3” risers off the 80/20 crossbars on the smartcap so it can clear the rod holder. The Riversmith rod holder is mounted to both of the truck cabs rhino rack crossbars up front.

For both the tent and rod holder I have supporting rubber pads points to independently allow them a 3rd support position to rest on, neither is hard mounted to both the cap and cab to allow for proper flex between.
