Hit the nail on the head there! The truck easily would perform as needed and be just fine with the intended trip.

I ended up getting an insane deal on a Penske truck thanks to a family friend. If I hadn’t I’d be towing, would have made a nice thread about it once all done just to stick a tongue at some of y’all. Insane how little some of y’all trust the very same vehicles you spent time talking about on a forum…. Some y’all should be driving a Prius.

Definitely a good fix. I broke mine a couple months ago and found a local glass/mirror company to cut a new one. They charged me about $350

Glad you found a good deal

Know what you mean, a rock mine a week after I got it. I was lucky, just a small crack, took it into Novis and they shot that goo into it and saved the day, no cost.

ARE topper. Mud guards, factory steps, third bed rail behind cab, tacorail accessory holder, ram mount tablet mount, hood wrap and retro stripes. Bug shield and window shields. Molle seat cover on tear seat.
Is anyone getting new windshields having to recalibrate the Safety Sense camera?

Am curious too - the dealership warned me that the windshields are $900 to replace due to the mirror and safety features actually being a part of it.
Of course if you have a deductible lower than that you’ll be fine but I’m curious if it truly is that costly

Put my faux PRO grille on too, because it's prettier than stock one . And programmed my GDO remote but that's nothing really.

this is definitely I’m considering while looking for someone to replace it. Just gonna run it like this for a little while. It’s crazy how easily the Toyota windshields chip/crack.

Im not going anywhere anytime soon that will require this stuff. But i just wanted to put it on and see how easy it was. I could do this at a trail head in like 20 minutes or less depending on any cleaning i need to do to the truck first.

Swapped the OEM tailgate insert out today for the Hooke Road Tacoma Tailgate Insert. Re-used the OEM screws, but a few of them seem to barely reach, so stay tuned.

    Other observations:
    Heavy,THICK, sturdy
Tolerences barely lined up with screw holes, but did eventually (read: push against shit)(It's thick)
The dampening on the tailgate is depreciated by 50% in my estimation. The additional weight obvisouly affects it.
    It looks great
    It has cupholders recessed spots!
Seems like a great addition for $129

After the TRD Factory Suspension addition … why not slap on the TRD Factory Skid Plate (it’s only money).

I had my windshield replaced at 500km’s into ownership… pissed-off is an understatement.

anyway.. nothing was recalibrated to my knowledge, nor was it on the paperwork. Glass shop was the Toyota recommended shop. They were great, I haven’t had any issues since.
