Mounted this today. Will have to finish the wiring another day. I had to make sure it works well as a front cam for my DMH-W4660NEX. Seems like a good quality cam. I was hoping for the rca jack to be already grounded but It wasn’t, so I have to physically use the ground wire. I’m using the red accessory +wire of the HU as a trigger wire. I’m thinking of routing the cable in one of the rubber boot in the passenger side firewall…any good advice where to route it? Thanks!

These are the ones that I am going to get. There is a really good Youtube on the quality and the install here, for those that are interested:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXh78z4L754

Question for you, if you don't mind. Were the ones that you ordered compatible with the side air bags? I was waiting to order mine until the new version came out that was side airbag compatible. I called PRP and they said they were in the works ... so I was on hold.

I am looking forward to getting these ... with two dogs and a kid that thinks he is a wolf, apparently.

Do you mind me asking how much length it adds to your taco … I need a hitch mount rack, but I’m pretty limited in addition space in the garage. Sigh

Im new to this forum! just picked up a 2018 TRD Off Road.

I just swapped out the interior lights with LED's. Headlights also got an upgrade, Halogens are now LED's, and installed a Tailgate lock. Not too bad for day 1!

Finished Installing my axe/shovel mounts after getting a new shovel. Also added some new hand tools to the tool bag I keep in the truck.

Yes! Mine are side air bag compatible. And yes, I watched the same video when I installed them. I didn’t take my seats out, and it was still pretty easy with them in. FYI I ordered mine 5/19 and just got them on 8/11. I’m not sure how long it is now, but definitely worth the wait!

Tru-cool m7B trans cooler. Significant drop in temps!

Ignore the missing hose clamp. This was a photo as I was in progress :)

For me it wasn’t. I have a 2021, so it had no cooler and I plan on towing heavy (for a Tacoma) loads. I bought the cooler and fittings, 3/8 tubing (to make my hard lines), factory Toyota hose clamps and all of the parts (e.g hard pass through dual line, mounting bracket, hoses etc) for the factory oil cooler from an older MY 3rd gen. So it’s basically using all the factory pieces and an aftermarket cooler. I went a little overboard but wanted a factory type of look and didn’t want rubber hoses draped everywhere.

Yep, if he tried to weasel out of it, that would be one thing, but he didn't - at least not yet. We'll see once the estimate comes in. Haha.

Plus, honestly, it was really just about a perfect day except for this incident and I was having so much fun, I didn't want to let this put a damper on it. Once he apologized and offered to pay for the damage, I considered it settled. It was a dumb mistake. Guy got caught up in the moment and made a bad call. Happens to the best of us. Time will tell if he's a man of his word.

Finally got around to cam tab guessets. Also straightened my skids out the best I could, and reinforced them more to get a little more life out of them. Still need to beef up the front bumper mounts/front frame, and do spindle guessets/limit straps.

Yesterday did the AC condensation drain mod. Was happy to see no rust. I used clear hose. Went for a drive with the AC on and when I parked the truck you could actually see the condensation vapors in the line:).

Nice seat covers. I also installed heated seats with the same / similar kit as you. (under the actual factory fabric... that sucked). Anyways I bought my kit off Amazon and one complaint people had was that the switches died and I already had one go bad. I would recommend buying and extra set of switches now so that just incase 5 years from now they go bad and you can't find the replacements anymore on ebay.
