moved one string of bedlights too my softopper and took off the wind dam finally.

 

My dealer told me any time I needed nitrogen in my tires, just swing by and they would add it at no charge. Bought aftermarket tires and wheels so I never needed to go by to get any.

I get between 19 and 20 as well...mostly city driving, but I don't gun it, and do a lot of drift stopping because luckily, my job has me on the road when there is little to no traffic. took the air dam off back in March, and no noticeable gas milage changes

Got my 2nd spindle guesset done for now, still going to make some guessets that go out to the tie rod and leave some room to do a future double sheer heim setup

 

New placement of one of the bed lights to the top of my Softopper. still need to wrap with electrical tape, but it's a lot brighter having one up top.

Sorry, no. All gases (nitrogen, oxygen, CO2, air, methane, argon, etc.) obey the ideal gas law (PV = nRT). Pressure (P) x volume (V) = amount of gas (n) x a constant (R) x temperature (T). R is the same for all gasses. Heat a gas up in a certain volume and you increase pressure. Chill it down and you decrease pressure.

 

Sorry, yes. Look at the temperature differences that nitrogen expands and contracts at compared to air. We use nitrogen in our aircraft tires for this reason and because oxygen can react with some of the chemicals in rubber.

R is not the same for all gases.
It's not VASTLY different for N and O (which is 99% of the gases we're talking about), but it certainly isn't the same for everything.

Nitrogen is used because the molecules are larger. They will not penetrate the rubber as easily. This means you won't lose air as quickly from normal seepage. It typically has more filtration done during the process to remove water vapor which can degrade rubber and corrode wheels. In reality it's just an easy way for the shops to make more money off you. Top it off with a regular compressor.

 

Ordered my A.R.E. shell. Now I just have to wait 15 to 17 weeks for it to arrive. Backlogs are crazy.

 

Damn. Hopefully it comes in sooner, I am seeing some people quoted longer than it ends up taking them, also seeing the opposite....
