Yeah, @Cereal_killer is correct. The B pillars were the easiest part of the whole day. Came right off with no residue.

Got my first tire rotation and oil change today at ~6800 miles.

Caught a very small screw during our move and asked them to patch it … they were going to but it took them 2.5 hours just to rotate tires and oil change because they’re “down 4 techs” so I will take it back later for a patch.

So much for getting the truck washed, guess I’ll do that tomorrow.

Found these s-biner key rings at REI.
I didn’t realize until later that they lock up; The little black diagonal turns and locks up the carabiner so nothing accidentally clicks out of it.
Comes in some cool colors too.

Stripped the vinyl off my B-Pillars today also. A little heat and they came off nicely, all in one piece. I Removed the TRD Sport stickers off the bed on day one. I usually remove all vinyl/decals from my vehicles, including any pinstripes. I may soon remove the Tacoma from the doors and the V6 from the tailgate (haven't decided yet).

I'm a fan, I don't think I've tried that size yet. I'll add them to my list for my next Lowes trip.

Nice. Really want to do the 5100's all around. What were your settings?

Top setting will provide 2" lift. The AAL are rated for 1.5-2" of lift.

That's next up on my to do list once the weather cools off a wee bit. Prob a Oct project. Heat won't be AS oppressive as it is now in Mississippi. Still be warm, but not as much.

Thanks. I was looking at the 5100's and the rears only provide a maximum 1". But the truck has rake so the rear sits around 1" higher in the rear. Is the AAL there to keep the rake? Sorry, I'm ignorant regarding lifts. I've read a bunch of posts and it's still kinda nebulous to me.

Been a while since I've been up here. Summer has been nuts. Took off the chin strap a while back. Installed the Sokietech hood struts (no drill) last night. Super easy install. It amazes me how heavy the hoods are on these trucks. Shout out @ClassyTacos for the YouTube video.

I replaced the 12v socket with a dual USB port and added behind the dash charging capabilities for my DMM.

First I had to open up the dash.
    1. Remove the radio bezel
    2. Pop the piece with the vent for the microphone up
    3. Pop the control panel out.

    20210901_150325.jpg
    20210901_153027.jpg

Next I removed the 12V socket by just smooth brain yanking it out of the dash.

    20210901_153307.jpg
Next I yanked the wires out of the back of the 12V socket.

    20210901_153355.jpg
Then I pulled the out of the plastic piece and and stripped a small bit of insulation back from the wire and spliced my 12v to 5v converter with dual usb output to the 12V power and ground.

    20210901_162125.jpg

    20210901_163110.jpg

Then I opened up the 12V socket hole to fit my aftermarket USB port.

    20210901_155923.jpg

    20210901_155526.jpg

Then I tested everything to make sure it worked, plugged everything back in, and snuck my USB port behind the radio and viola! All clean and tidy.

The shocks allow for 1" but they provide no lift themselves. That's what the AAL is for. If you lift the front with no AAL, you'll lose the rake. But if you put in 5100s at stock height, you won't need AAL
