What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Did the v5s and threw in the bedlight kit while the battery was disconnected. I need a nap.

 

Got back from the tire store with my new AT3s.


Finished installing the rest of my Rough Country seat covers. They bring the black interior together and adds an additional seat back pocket on the driver side!
Pro tip #1: Don’t let the seat forward/aft adjustment change after you remove the seat or you won’t understand why nothing lines up.
Pro tip #2: There’s something that looks like a cigarette burn under the seat mount…don’t text your smoker-friend who borrowed your truck last year passive aggressively about putting holes in your carpet. It’s on both sides and is clearly something for the seat.

 

I’m preparation for our camping trip coming up I went ahead and removed the rear seats and built a platform for our fridge. I also ran the wiring for my solar panel.

It’s no Goose Gear , but for under $100 I’m happy with it

Finally lifted the front with a 2" RC strut spacer!

 

Army Green code is 6V7. Here is some spray paint in our color. You can get kits with primer, paint, and clearcoat as well.

HyperDip is the business. Used it to blackout the chrome on my wife’s 4Runner Limited.

 

After letting it settle a bit after the lift, I had it re-torqued and aligned. Installed the Subaru tweeters, which I thought were "plug and play." However one of the speaker's connector had a dog-eared blockage. I dremeled it out and all was good, but I don't remember hearing about that in the past.

 

Easy peazy, just slow pull upwards but don't bend the trim. Same after you lay your sealant (I like polyurethane for adhesion and longevity) slowly guide some of the plastic tabs into place. You will appreciate this later. Most likely if it was installed by a cap shop...you're lucky if you got silicone...something I would not recommend...

Thanks! I like the look of them too. I wanted something with sharper angles and different from the round bar steps. Anyway, they're HDX nerfbars. I didn't like the logo on the side so I hit it with plastidip.

My wife helped me re apply this decal on the hood. The first time I did it there were bubbles galore LOL but this looks pretty sharp
