Otto, I took the front chin off and it does look better!

mrproduxn that is good news! I did plan on buying a Futon oil drain valve. So I can use pretty much any after market "front" skid plate it sounds like.

This first picture is this morning, the second is with the new grille, and the third is without the front chin. Looks much better.

Not sure of the weight of the rack/RTT or the capacity of the winch, but you may not need to have a dual line setup. It's nice to have the extra capacity if you would like to do more. If I were doing the dual line setup, I would have an extra eye mounted at each pulley in the ceiling (see kindergarten sketch for clarity). It involves a lot more cable and hardware, but it will double the allowable load.

OEM replacement blade strips (fits original wiper) or OEM "sightline" wiper blades from what I've read. I need to replace mine as well.

I think after your junction you would want a single line, you can use a horizontal pulley anywhere the line needs to turn. You can then place additional pulleys in any section of straight line to add mechanical advantage

I was watching an install video on YouTube for the installation of the Bakflip MX4 (I think by Back Country), and the installer repeated that when you remove any of the star screws (I believe they’re size T15), to break the screw and loosen by hand first on all the screws, including the ones for the bed rails. After that, you can use a screw gun or impact gun to remove them or reinstall them again. But make sure you do the same with tightening the screws. When you get close to putting them back in, just make them a little snug and then finish tightening by hand or you’ll run the risk of stripping the screws.

The dual line was only up to the junction and I thought would help keep tension on the cable especially around the 90 degree pulley. In my head it seemed as if a single line would slip off, I don’t know. The hoist I was looking at is 440 dual line and 220 single. The cap is 180-200 lbs but I think the extra buffer of 440 would be better rather being close to the edge at 220.

I see the extra pulley added to each corner in your pic and that definitely is a possibility but I may not have enough distance needed for the extra length. My truck bed rails are 4’4” off the ground and I have enough clearance to raise it 3’ off the bed rails.

I think I’ll have to get everything together and play it by ear

I’m not sure I follow, could you post a rudimentary sketch?

so I didn’t really go into detail on the platform used but it’s just basically 2 boards that will go side to side (1 in front and 1 in rear) of the cap with 4 inch extending past the cap sides with eye bolt which gives 4 lifting points. In my head I wanted more of a stable load with less wobble if that makes sense. I do have a 4’ light directly above where the cap will be centered so that was another reason for not having a single center line above the cap. Light can be removed if needed for install and if not required to move will like replace/relocate in the future

That's the model I have. Last year's bad winter storm I used it to jump my neighbors dead battery. Fired right up. I never leave home without it...topped it off last night in preparation for my upcoming trip.
