    That’s clean!
Why did you opt to put it there vs inside the taillight ?

Those are clean! I debate on which to pieces to get from aj and which from meso even their fobs. Meso seems more like oem replacement and ajt has a rugged look. His vent covers are held on my 3m though where meso is clipped.

Is it better to not go with bright plate lights? I bought a package of interior leds from Amazon and they had some included. Didn’t want to pay the $$$ for the diode interior kit. 20 vs 65$.

Got my lift mostly finished up. All thats left now is to reinstall the sway bar and the skid plate. No pictures because I already posted a picture of the side that was finished the other day.

Need to order wheels and tires soon though, the truck looks a bit funny with the small stock tires.

    Installed a magsafe charger mount

    How I did it:
    - I started with a BerryItDesign phone mount (sadly no longer available on Etsy), and removed the face containing the magnets. I now had a flat surface to secure the charger to
    - Next I used a Dremel to carve out a channel in the mount for the charge wire. I wanted it as hidden as possible.
    - I made a very tiny (2mm?) notch out of the top of my dash trim (behind the mount), just enough for the wire to not get squished.
    - I used Gorilla mounting tape to tape the MagSafe charger to the mount
    - I then tore the dash apart and ran the wire to right above the cigarette lighter, where I made a hole above it where the USB connection comes out
    - Put it all together and plug it in to the USB cigarette lighter and voila! a charging MagSafe mount in my Taco, with zero clutter.

Note: Havent received new phone yet, so my camera quality still sucks. lol

I just wanted the white light instead of the yellow for the licence plate bulbs. I did't need them brighter, risking a possible issue with glare in the back up camera. The licence plate is lit up just fine with the low lumen Diode Dynamics bulbs. The only light I wanted brighter was the reverse lights and they really do a good job.

Also, I've had bad luck with the cheaper Amazon bulbs. DD's have never let me down so I just stick with them.

Love Meso products. I have almost everything they sell for Tacoma's on my truck. ha. I initially had their vent rings on, but like how beefier AJT's were. No, they dont clip, but the 3M tape is pretty strong, and I haven't had issues yet. AJTs make the vents pop a bit, while Meso's are a bit more subtle.

That cubby has been pretty much useless. It's just too small to store anything meaningful. I might as well use it for something. It also let's me easily inspect it without having to remove the taillight.

I don't think there would have been enough room for the filter, behind the taillight either.

All done, except for the 4x4. Thinking about going with something other than AG. That's my last bit of chrome (except for the glove box lock).

Today started off a bust. I took off the door panel off in prep for Kicker speaker upgrade, only to find out I have the wrong adapter. I ordered another and was just sulking on the couch when another deliveryman stopped by. FJ Cruiser shifter ball in gray!

Unscrewed the old Siamese Twin, double blob, or whatever you wanna call it old one off. Popped the Etsy moulding over the plastic-chromy piece and on the ball went. 20211015_144721.jpg
