Yeah I'd never really considered a battery powered chainsaw for myself either. Always had gas but honestly where Im at in life, I just don't have a need for a gas chainsaw anymore. I like the idea of having something a little more capable than my hand held bow saw out in the trails. And I REALLY like the idea of not having to yank on a pull cord, deal with fuel, or the increased fire risk with a traditional gas saw. I'm definately getting a battery powered one in the near future.

Had a bit of a self-inflicted Charlie Foxtrot this month. Decided to go with your standard speaker upgrade but instead of just the Subaru tweeters I went with full Focal tweeters, front 6x9s and rear 6.5s……..$600
Wasn’t happy with the output, but was not really interested in going amp+sub so I talked myself into getting a new head unit: Pioneer 8600NEX…….$1200
    SOUNDS GOOD NOW!
After about 2 minutes I realized I had really screwed up because I am the type of guy who NEEDS a volume knob, not a volume button on the steering column or multiple screen taps in an arbitrary location. I can’t stand not having instant volume control.
The fix? Hey, just get that initially unwanted sub with an in-line volume knob!
    welp………
Another $600 and look who has completely upgraded his whole entire system instead of a couple of cheap tweeters.
You are all my tribe. You magnificent bastards.
BUT.. I did something I think you’ll find kinda cool.
Thinking about a location for the volume and bass control knobs I came up with this:1FF56026-7FEF-402D-AFDF-FF93058B707F.jpg
3D printed coin box from Etsy, knobs mounted on lid and connections under the shift console. Clean and very convenient location for my constant OCD fiddling.
You too can do this fun cheap mod for only ~$3000!

How people can live with just buttons, or even worse, capacitive controls for things like stereo and HVAC are beyond me. Sometimes analog is the right answer.

Same for me but my bar-oil reservoir really leaks all the time, so I have to be careful how and where I stash it.

For the next few days, yes. Getting a little bit of rub (but only in reverse weirdly enough).
My 3” lift from Ironman4x4 is finally in and they’re putting the coils and shocks together for me, I hope to be installing it next weekend..
More pics to come if I’m successful.

It was around $100 a wheel I believe. I couldn’t find something aftermarket I liked and decided I’d save some money this way. And not too many out there I’d imagine.
