What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Took it out to the badlands of Southern Alberta for a little Hunting this weekend

 

I finally got around to installing the Bestop Supertop that I purchased used from a guy locally on Facebook. Luckily all of the important parts were there. A few pieces of hardware were missing, but easily replaceable. Just curious if this looks correct to all of you? It appears to me that I should not have the small amount of sag where the roof meets the side windows especially in the rear roof panel section like I do. Is that normal for these toppers or do I have something not quite right?

 

New shoes installed….Toyo Open Country AT3’s. Never had these before. Not a bad tread. Hope they last. Wanted BFG’s but none were to be found so went with these.

 

Those will do better on wet pavement, they have a nice connected all-around water channel on both sides.

Something sleek and simple today. Gas cap holder that just slides right in with no 3m tape or using any screws.

Got the uptop overland roof rack on. Playing with different colored cases to see what I should order. Leaning towards black

 

The style of the black case looks sick, but that black case in cement would be sicker.

 

Rebuilt some new to me upper control arms.

Put on some 5100s with 888s and icon add a leaf.
Sadly, somehow and not exactly sure how, i poked a hole in the CV boot on the driver side.
the rest of the install was great. Drives nice on my limited test drive. now I gotta get that boot fixed.

 

Installed my N2 remote start this weekend. I go the one with the smart phone module. It works great.

 

Install a rear driving camera over the weekend. Also started the sound deadening process in preparation for the speaker upgrades this week.

 

Decided to 3D print some covers to hide my wires for my roof rack.

 

FAIL....PSA, do not use the factory mounting brackets for a hitch, I used mine Saturday and they bent. I can't imagine putting a winch in the hitch and trying to pull the truck out.



I noticed it looked like the rack was sagging after hauling the deer. The hitch was up against the plastic.




The brackets on the truck bent. Look closely. Time to redo them.
