Good morning folks, absolutely love the wealth of information here! Here’s some eye candy after the lift and 33’s were installed. Anxiously awaiting my camper top and prinsu roof racks.

I like it. Took a little over a month to ship. Almost went with Prinsu until I saw this one. Seemed RCI's other products were respected so I gave it shot.

Been getting caught up on some maintenance and ahead on some. Trucks at 85k miles and I just did the transmission fluid for the time, oops. New fluid and its as good as new, although it wasn’t shifting bad it was just starting to stink when working hard off-road.

Not sure if my spark plugs have ever been done but I’m going to do that this weekend and probably clean the throttle body.

I bought the truck used 4 years ago at 36k miles from a Ford/Kia dealership which they got on trade from a retired vet after he had it for a year, I believe he traded it for a Cobra ( I found a receipt in the truck and did some creeping lol). That being said I doubt the previous maintenance was anything but oil changes.

I’ve changed the engine oil and differential oils this week. 5k ahead of schedule on engine oil but I think the trucks gonna sit for the winter again, so we’ll have all fresh fluids for 2022. This is my second time doing my diff fluids, they were in good shape at 59k miles (not knowing if they’ve ever been done), and the fluid was basically new at 85k when I just changed them again.

    upload_2021-12-9_9-39-4.jpg

I gotta melt the ice cube and then give it a good hot water pressure wash under neath, let it dry for a few day and then hopefully undercoat in on a warm day and let it sit again for a few weeks for it to set in nice and good. Gotta change the transfer case fluid as well this weekend so it’s on the same schedule as the diff’s.

Also due for that tire rotation. Geez maintenance sure is fun when you do it all yourself lol. Just thankful I have warm dry places to do it as well as a outdoor pit to wash and undercoat.

Except for the weather stripping, I think it is aluminum and stainless.

I think its made by RDS for different companies and different specifications. The 1 in the picture is from Conkey's outdoor (link below) and is 5.5 gallon 36" long. Northern Tool also sells it at 5 gallon 30" long, but I think it has has too tall of a filler neck to clear the bed cover. I also have dead space on the driver's side because I have a du-ha toolbox there, but I think with the toolbox, battery, air compressor, and fridge, there would be too much weight on that side. I still haven't mounted it so there's time to decide.

They have a lot in stock and they have option of silver or black cap.

It’s got a heated floor too, it’s quite nice. I also wish I had a tent that big.

So when I click the link all the color options show. However when I change the year to 2016 it says only black is available for color match. But I’m pretty sure all 3rd gen hoods are the same. Weird.

I checked it out and it looks like its just a badge with some adhesive holding it on there. I contacted AVS and they confirmed that the emblem is just like a sticker. I'm sure a little bit of heat and it would probably come right off but I left it alone for now.
Yea their website is a little odd for the product, they also show a Tundra in the pictures as reference for the Taco o_O I would assume that all 3rd Gen hoods are identical but don't quote me on that

Got my SS3 Pro lights installed, no need to remove any panels, took about 5 minutes each side while being extra careful not to drop the screw or scratch the lights while lowering them into place.
Once it gets dark out I will work on their aim.
Just in time for a monster snow storm on Friday so hopefully I get to test out how well they work and if the Pros actually run hot enough to melt snow off of them.

One day my dude, I've got the same dream.

Maybe then crackheads wouldn't try running off with my tools while I'm working under the truck?

Same dream here too. I've built several versions of the dream garagemahal in Sketchup over the last few years while I build up the currency to actually build it in the real world. Current version of the building has about 7,000sqft of floor space split up between the garage, automotive/metal workshop, woodshop, drive-in paint booth, gym, in-law suite and other stuff. Ahhh, dreams....
