Looks clean. Now you can sell the bed mat that no longer has a home.

Installed some CaliRaised ambers for next time I hit the dirt and debadged the "Tacoma" and "SR5" badges.

Did the same thing just a few days ago. Black on black on a midnight black truck. Looks fairly sharp, I think.

It definitely makes it easier to see the corners of the bed when changing lanes on the interstate. I just stuck them behind the larger of the two rear seat sections. Fits perfectly.

Damn that looks so good. What’s your wheel setup? Spacers and UCA? I need a good alignment in AZ, will have to check them out.

it does not work with the radar cruise control, but if you put the truck into constant speed cruise control, the tune will be active. Oem tune on the radar cruise. Apparently Toyota has that portion of the ecu locked tight like a dogs pucker hole in water. Hahaha

Don’t think, just do! It’s amazing. I’ve got almost 1500 miles on the pro tune. Oddly, the truck does better gas mileage in Bay Area traffic then it did on I5. Loves 87 octane, bud will learn others levels. I cruise around the Bay Area at about 70mph when I’m not I. Traffic. This is my average fuel economy as of tonight.

I've only had a Taco for two weeks now, so please forgive my ignorance, but... dafuq? The ECU has a special tune stuck behind DRM just for radar cruise? The logic behind that baffles me almost as much as routing the microphone through the fucking DCM. I'm glad I don't use radar cruise so that wouldn't annoy me that much in practice. But still, that's stupid.

IDK, seems like something toyotas lawyers dont want people to fuck around with for a good reason. (the radar cruise, not the mic)

yes, @TWTaco explained it to me when I got the tune. I drove home on i5 that weekend and tried it. Sure as can be, in radar cruise, it’s that sluggish, gear hunting, dud no one likes. Pop into constant and bam, you can immediately feel the Pro tune take over. Night and day!

well, messing with the tune on the radar system could have some negative safety consequences. Such as the vehicles reaction time when letting off throttle and applying brakes.

While I definitely like the truck, there are several things about the truck that I find to be very stupid. In addition to the two things above, pointing the tag lights at the backup camera, and not making the default cruise a configurable setting are among those things. Also, I see lots of people talking about putting in "seat jackers" but am I the only one that thinks the seats are already too high? Even with the steering wheel all the way up I'm still hitting my knee when shifting gears (the transmission shifts smoother than I was expecting though, so good job there Toyota) and traffic-light visibility is lacking being so close to the roof. I feel like the truck was built for people of the same stature as the Miata is designed for.

I'm 6'1", I put the seat up one click from the setting and have the wheel mid way up in its position, also pulled out towards me. Knees clear fine. I did put the seat jackers in the front. It doesn't raise the seat, so much as it tilts it backwards for you. makes you feel more planted in the seat, especially under hard breaking. Yes, adjustable up and down seats would have been nice. I believe the NEW pros have multi way adjustable power seats. Might look into what it take to convert mine to those.

The tag light aren't really an issue until you step up to led bulbs in them, so like any customization, little tweaks will be needed to gain optimum performance (in this case, a brilliantly simple $7 plastic tab that a TW member @sphinxbccp came up with).

I'm not saying the truck isn't w/o its flaws. But I'll take nuance flaws over other trucks that will be completely falling apart at 75K miles. *COUGH - ford, gm - *COUGH

I used to fly Hawks for the army.

Got to fly a R44 with my wife and an army buddy a few years ago! It changed my opinion on them! Nice bird!

Same height, but I've got the seat bottomed out and the steering wheel all the way up and pulled all the way out, and my knee has to tilt to the left to get my foot on the clutch. If the seat could drop another two inches or so it would probably be just fine. I don't really have any issues with being planted fore and aft, so I don't think I'll ever have a desire for the seat jackers, but the seats definitely are not designed for lateral g's (to be expected though. It's a truck, not my Mazda3 that got destroyed 3 weeks ago). Opinions may differ, but I'd say the tag lights are an issue. I've already purchased the $7 fix that should've never been necessary.

Also, right now I'm digging through the wiring diagrams to figure out how to fix the cruise control stupidity.
