I installed a new set of LED tag lights. About 2 years ago I installed a set of led bulbs and unfortunately they started flickering a few days ago. After replacing those led bulbs with the original halogen bulbs, they decided to stop working altogether for some reason. Instead of replacing the bulbs with led bulbs again, I ended up replacing the OEM housings with LED housings. There is a good improvement in light output and now I can't really see much from the rearview camera haha.

Compared to my LED reverse lights lol

Here is one of my original halogen bulbs that quit working after swapping them over a few days ago. Anyone know what causes this?

Yup I have it in three vehicles. My work truck, personal truck and wife’s Camry. The family loves them since they stream everything.

Unless I have someone riding in the back (pretty rare) I always have the headrests out. Gives me a good bit more visibility out the back. And it's super easy to put em right back in if needed.

I remember seeing a mod on here that interlocked the reverse light with the license plate lights so that the license lights would cut out when reversing and not blind the camera.

That's exactly why I removed mine the day after I got the truck.

It's like $85 bucks though. It's cool, but for the time being I'm going with the $7 mod that partially covers the lights to reduce the glare.

Same here. Unless there's a passenger back there, they do nothing but block the rear window.

Had mine for almost a year and no problems at all. Really like the extra height you get from these!

I just did mine this afternoon. I was unimpressed with the plug-n-play connectors on back of the tail lights. They fit nice but there didn't seem to be any retention. The plugs on my $30 raptor lights seem to be of better quality. I am going to remove them tomorrow and see if I was just being stupid, or if I need to tape them up. i know if I don't I'm going to be stressing out over them coming unplugged at random while driving around.

How did they seem to you?

Ah, gotcha. Yeah that could be an issue. Umm... will they fit under the front seats? The only time that space would be needed is also when a passenger would want a headrest, I would think. Janky solution, sure, but might work.
