Sorry for the non-MOD question. I'm getting an airbag system malfunction alert. Wants me to take the truck to this stealership. I have installed the aftermarket pro Grill With aftermarket garnish. Do you guys think they're going to give me shit or tell me some kind of junk story that that's causing the problem with the airbag system. Is TSS even part of the airbag system? Thanks for the advice Taco friends.

I think I'd try to find out more about the alert before taking it in. Maybe an OBDII code reader would give you a better idea of what the problem actually is so you can be ready with the Bullshit Card like a gunslinger in one of those old west movies.

I had my TSS malfunction because something got stuck to the front of my grill and it didn't say anything about the airbag system. So I wouldn't think it is dependant on that. I would take off the garnish if its easy enough. They might not notice the pro grill immediately.

Did you do any other mods? Like removing the dash or a seat that might have unplugged an airbag or sensor? Maybe it checks for connectivity.

These trucks (all modern vehicles) have very sensitive electrical systems, a small spark can equal big money unfortunately.

Remember: "negative first - negative last"

First step - open hood and disconnect the negative
    do your work
Last step - reconnect negative and close hood

I realize it seems like a pain - read this forum for awhile and you will see people ending up with big problems from a small spark during a 10 minute job.

Got my 2nd Gen running boards installed today. Really happy with the look - and yes - they fit fine. As others have said, make sure you leave all the bolts loose until the end, then go and tighten everything up to spec as the last step.

I like them. Somewhat of a "minimalists" running board that looks good... and on a budget.

Yeah for something as simple as they are they look pretty good. I'll spend the money on quality sliders once I need them.
