Now I just need to catch a real muskie. I still have a few fish left on my fishing bingo card.

I've had one or two get away never caught one. I was bass fishing out of a canoe once and saw one just below the canoe, it was the biggest damn fish. Had I hooked it I would have been dragged around the lake lol.

Yeah, have a list of fish in each state I visit that I want to catch. MN I want to catch everything but a sturgeon. Im not equipped to handle a fish that big.

    I need
    Muskie
    Bourbot
Perch (oddly enough, never caught one)
    Salmon
    Bowfin

Yeah I've seen some stugeon sitting on the bottom of rocky areas. They are pretty large. Yes perch would be a head scratcher for me as there have been times we probably met our limit for perch. I'll have to look up a bourbot as I don't think I've heard of it.

We have a whole winter festival for the burbot (eelpout) in Walker MN
    https://www.eelpoutfestival.com/

As for the perch. Ive tried a few times to catch them, but the lakes I fish dont have big populations of them. I bank fish, or kayak fish. When kayaking, I stay out of lakes that have boats in them as I cant swim very well. A careless boater will swamp me real fast.

just looked at the pic. Never seen one. My uncle did catch a bowfin once when I was younger. His friend we were with told him to throw it back because it wasn't good to eat. Called it a dog fish tho.

Yep bowfin are pretty much a trash fish, but they are ancient fish. Boney heads are hard to hook. Over by the power plant the bowfin actually eat the pike.

Im heading to duluth next month to visit some friends that just moved back here. Hoping there is some ice on the lake for fishing, and if not I hope the water is open enough to cast into.

hmmm... Might have to bring the ice and casting gear then. Over the summer I was up there with the family and saw all sorts of big fish just swimming around the lighthouse. Now that my friend and his wife moved back, I can drop my wife and kids off with his wife and kids, give them a credit card, then go fishing all day.

Thanks for all the tips on the 3rd Brake Light. Need to get the tap for behind the Tail Light and I will fabricate a mount with wiring inside a black braided loom and disconnect at the Rear Corner. Been nice if Soft Top had stitched in some loops in the corner to the Center for black loom covered wiring going to the tail Light area. My Daughter does leather work and can make a proper rivet hole in the material for the Brake Light Bolts and wire to go thru. I will make sure I buy a extra LED Brake Light just in case it goes bad later and save it. I like the set up the guy makes to plug and play! Just need to buy one from him it looks factory. Figure a disconnect right at the back corner no extra wires showing short and sweet. Un plug fold it up or remove. Nothing on the pipes at all I can glue the loops onto the inside for the wiring. Pictures when I do it. Just using a little bit of everything I saw others do for theirs.

Get these lights add 3M double sided tape and stick it to the top edge part of your tailgate right in the center. Run the wire under the top cap of the tailgate, down into the tailgate and follow the power lock loom and tap into the tail light brake wire.
    Use the K.I.S.S. principle!

Use this type of tap for the wires:

Just ordered those lights, assorted loom and heat shrink with a pull apart Junction has a cap on each one with 10 ft of wire on those ends. Only splice will be at the light and at the Tail Light Tap. Still need to get that $25.00 Pre/Made Grey Tap coming left a message. Heck I have little over $100.00 into this with a extra Brake Light. Did not know Softtoper gave free shipping to Military? Wonder if that was also for Disabled Vietnam Vets? To late now.

Don't want it on my Tail Gate then I would have 2 - 3rd brake Lights when the top is removed or folded? Got the adapter ordered off here that was to easy shipping it tomorrow to me!

Couldn’t agree more. I grew up here and live about 10 miles outside of the city, but work in downtown every day - what a hole that’s become.
Sorry for your troubles as that would tick me off, too. Hope you get it sorted.
And to stay on topic, installed my DMM this past weekend! Love the clean look and functionality. CD663AD3-3582-44D6-9BD9-9B9341C3D14A.jpg
