Pretty pumped on this little add-on. Had the idea at work and couldn't find much info on it. I use my bed weekly to take my trash down and with my lift and uneven driveway, jumping into the truck bed some days is a chore. Lol Thinking it may hold up to some weather but it was only $10 off Amazon for two if it doesn't. PXL_20220216_215714579.jpg

I haaaate front plates. I also have a set of new OEM fogs if you want them for cheap to fill up those blanks.

After 4 months and 3 roadtrips (two of them 1800+ miles!) I figured the Taco earned a bath so yesterday I took advantage of the great weather and washed it down. I also planned on changing out the wiper blade inserts but realized the previous owner mustve swapped out the wiper blade assembly since its not the OEM one. Ah shit, guess I shouldve double checked that beforehand...

But not all was lost since there was a sticker pack waiting for me in the mailbox courtesy of @BudFriendguy, which unexpectedly included this gem that was designed by him. Thanks again Zak!

I don't really feel it is picture worthy but I put on my MESO extended fuse box today. It was bothering me quite a bit after I did a heated seat install to have the fuse box exposed so it was nice to put that on.

Added a Garmin dashcam. Nice little plug and play unit when you add in the mirror jumper. No wires to hide and the unit is pretty much invisible tucked behind the rear view mirror. Under $150 all in (Garmin dashcam, jumper, Micro SD card).

Hopefully I’ll never need it, but nice to have some evidence in the event I get clipped by someone.

hell yea, how was that heated seat install? I have the 2020 power driver and it was a little rough getting going.

Bought the adapter to eventually convert my halogen headlights to the OEM LEDs.
    * edit ended up going with the 85$ base harness* (a little different than the one below)

Sent over a quick email before purchasing and Dave replied quickly stating my R4T Grille DRL adapter harness should work with this set up.

Any of you buy this adapter set as well to use it to convert to LED headlights w grille lights?

That is why we like it. Tows well with the Tacoma. Fairly capable and decent ground clearance with the X package. Wife demanded a bathroom with shower or I would have went with an off-road style squaredrop. With a little sun for the solar we have gone 4 nights off the grid and still had 50% fresh water and 50% waste tank available and that was with 1 quick shower each. I like being able to explore the more demanding trails that i don't think a sprinter van could handle, and then head back to camp at the end of the day.

I just bought the plain headlight conversion harness from Dave for my truck. He mentioned the same thing to me about the R4T Grille light harness. If I wanted to add grille lights that harness would work with the plain headlight harness I already had or you can order a harness from him that will have the adapters already installed for headlights and grille lights.

I will say Dave's harnesses are super high quality/labeled neatly and Dave's been helpful with any questions that I've had. I did the TRD PRO led headlight swap last December and don't have any desire to add "raptor" grille lights to my Tacoma.

Thanks for the response man. I plan on doing the same sometime soon. Trd pros are what I’m looking at as well. I have the smoked white raptor lights which I prefer more than amber. Just figured I’d get the grille light harness so I can use the R4t lights I already have.

It took a bit longer than expected trying to figure out where to add the fuse taps and where to ground since I'm not the best at electrical. Also, taking apart the center console wasn't my favorite but overall I'd say it is worth it.

Wondering if I didn’t need to get the $135 one if I can still use the regular one with the R4t harness

He’s working on V2 , which reuses the OEM cover. As you can see it also has spares and a fuse puller too.
