    Kicker vs OEM.
Old RekGen on the left, new RekGen on the right.

From personally experience, you’ll get a lot more info if you use the search function and no one will want to flame you into oblivion for asking a question that’s been asked and answered hundreds of times. That being said, idk. I’ve ran 235/85R16 and 245/75R16 no problem.
It’s not? Idk what to tell you, my man.

285/75/r16 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T’s, Extang 2.0 hard tonneau tri-fold. Billstein 5100’s front/rear with OME 886 coils and Headstrong off-road 3 leaf progressive AAL. All speakers replaced with Kicker CS Series. BulletPoint Taco Bar with stubby CB mic holder and two-way FRS/GMRS radio holder. Uniden PRO505XL 40 ch CB. RCI engine and transmission skid plates. RCI sliders. Garmin Mini Dash Cam 2. CMC by Milogen Fabrication.
16x7 is sort of like an industry standard for stock wheels. The OR wheels have a 5” backspace and 25 offset. I have 265/75/16 KO2’s on mine. They were installed prior to the lift and I didn’t experience any rubbing issues, even off-road.

    No lift, no problem…..

With lift, definitely not a problem…..

Just ordered some 16x8 Pro Comp wheels with 4” backspace and-12 offset. Going with bigger tires soon.

Pretty excited about this one. Kinda wished it had shown up before I drove 2000 miles this past week, but I'm sure I'll just be all the happier to have it for having survived without it.

    Just getting started.
Made a ton of mods that are sure to increase my new Taco's horsepower... :burnrubber:

Some background... So, I picked up my Taco last month and after driving a Kia Soul for the last five years (a car I bought specifically to become my daughter's when she got her license... which happened Friday) I was ready to finally get back into modding my ride. Soul's have little to no aftermarket mods... which blew my mind, and coming from a Mustang GT (sold to buy our house) I was itching to make this Taco mine. I've already added an UpTop Alpha roof rack with a bed rack and eX cap set to be delivered Tuesday (using this to haul lumber for the day job; I'll post again when that's installed), but today it was time for some serious mods...

Started out with the AC drain mod and the Kicker tweeter mod (no pics, just use your imagination).

Moved onto firing up Illustrator and the vinyl cutter for a couple of 1/2 HP upgrades:

    IMG_4866.jpg

Living in Texas I never liked the idea of "Taco Sauce"... so, "Hot Sauce" it is (looks odd in the pic but its centered along the bottom curve in the cover)...

    IMG_4766.jpg

Then I moved onto the tailgate. The previous owner had added the US Flag vinyl stickers which were very faded and I felt a bad look for old glory, so when I heard each of these are worth 1HP in an Amazon review I jumped on them. BTW, removing the adhesive from the old vinyl stickers was a PITA, lots of WD40 and elbow grease required...

    IMG_4865.jpg

Then, onto the interior. Glove box mess fixed...

    Glove-Box-Organizer.jpg

And since I grew up with a dad that was into hot rods and muscle cars (he owned a Roadrunner and Duster) I always wanted a pool ball shifter knob (I'm odd like that), so what better way to commemorate my 5th vehicle in Inferno Red (Orange) than with the number 5 ball (from ThreadedShiftKnobs on Etsy) and an Off Road shift-boot retainer cover (from TrailbreakerCustoms on Etsy)...

    Pool Ball Shift Knob.jpg

Finally, needing to rehydrate after all of those powerful mods I found the stock cup holder inadequate for my water bottle needs, so the old chalk bag/cup holder mod was in order (Oxblood from Static Climbing)...

    IMG_4868.jpg

    I'll have dyno numbers shortly...

Joking aside. I absolutely love this truck, and while today was about adding little mundane details to an already great vehicle, I'm really looking forward to the real performance mods once I take her out and see what I need for the family as we tackle some trails this summer.

Installed Carhartt precision fit seat covers, installed rear covers last week. Plan to snug them up this spring when I'm not standing in road salt grime. Console cover wraps around the edge and over the organizer tray edge making it a hard close...may improve with use.

    Did my "viper cut" today:thumbsup:
Wasn't too bad, the worst part was figuring out what to do with the remnants of the inner fender well/liner. So, I cut it, folded it, formed in place with a heat gun and the ultimately, bolted to itself with the OEM body clip/fastener that I removed in the trimming process. That said, I did a very "subdued" viper cut only taking a few inches off and resulting in an upward sweep on the side that's not so exaggerated. You can see by my pre-cut marks how much I took off.

    COOL Stuff I can't afford . . . But I bought anyway!
Couple of lighting upgrades. Traded my oem pro headlights for a set of Morimotos, in those went, plus my 32” lower grille light bar while I had everything taken apart. Still need to wire the light bar, but so far, happy with the installation and look of the morimotos.

Got rid of the cheese grater grille today! New OEM take off, I had to drive 2 hours one way to get it but it was new and included the TSS sensor and garnish for $200.00. I just transferred my sensor and wiring harness to the new grille. Tested the sensor on the interstate and all works fine. Wife says that it makes the truck look mean. Happy camper.

Detailed the truck today! She was filthy due to the ice and snow over the last week. Love my chemical guys products. Don’t mind the windshield, got that after the pics.
