Also properly warming up the vehicle and using an ice scraper instead of wipers and washer fluid to clean off frost in the morning does wonders for longevity.

Amazon order, first oil change soon. Oddly no retailer around me had ultra platinum. This will be my 6 month oil change. I barely have over 1k miles on the truck after owning it for 6th months but want to change the oil anyway. 2 times a year seems fair to me for peace of mind. Oil and filter are cheap.

Good to know, but I’ll just stick to my keys and save my money for 5Guys. :hungry: :D But seriously, you’re spot on, more people need to wipe their wipers. (Pun intended)

Good point. Thank goodness frost is rare around my neck of the woods.

Rigged up some brackets for under-mounts on the bed rack. I can slide them around so it allows me to put different sized gear up there. I'm guessing it'll just be for camping tables and grills but anything that saves space! (or jus an excuse to tinker with my truck using things laying around my garage).

Take off the antenna, using your palm push back down on the roof to flatten to OEM spec, then reattach the antenna. Now it should be flush. Dry fit the antenna to make sure its flush before reinstalling.

Unfortunately there is A LOT more to it than just taking off the antenna.

No, sorry...didn't even think of it being read that way (but now that you did, I can see how!). I picked it up from being wrapped, and it was not wrapped by the dealer.

I’ve been tossing back and forth on if I should go for another stealth box (have one in my Jetta) or go for the OEM Audio+ Reference 500 kit with the dual woofers and independent amp. What speakers did you install and what amp do you have? Stock deck? Entune 3 (non-JBL)? I need details! How's the sound?

I’ve never tried it but here good things……maybe this weekend. If anything then we won’t get anymore rain until November! o_O

My driver side just got a tear in it yesterday. Pax side doing well, but I'll change them both of course.
They've been on there since it left the factory at the end of 2016. OEM and good quality.

I kept an eye out for problems with them. Wasn't trying to go overboard for long life. If they showed lack of wiping effeciency, streaks, noise, etc., I'd change them straight away. Mine were still performing right up to the tear. Just got lucky I guess.
I do use rain-x and only work the wipers when needed. Never on dry glass!
