Replaced the factory bed stickers with some less “flashy” ones. I added some vinyl to the stock Sport wheels, I like the darker contrast with the black paint, also replaced the center cap T emblem with some TRD stickers. The Rokgens appear to keep most of the debris in the wheel wells. The darker Meso mirror signals look better than the flashy chrome pieces too. The front window tint & rain guards will be a welcome addition later this summer. I had purchased these steps when I placed the order a year ago, then the “closest match” truck had tubes steps on it. The tubes look better, but these work better as steps as they protrude 2 inches further out from the door….

Its actually doing very well. Everything was pretty much restored in between 2010 and 2012 and has only been driven about 770 miles in the past 8 years. I inherited the firebird from my father when I was 11 years old (in 2013), and my dads best friend has been taking care of the car since then. I'm going up to Michigan this summer to get it started and I might drive it a bit. I'll be bringing it back down to Mooresville, North Carolina sometime in the next couple years. The trans am had 333,000 miles before the restoration and it sits at just over 334,500 miles as of 2022. Im still waiting for some pics because the guy looking after it can only drive it once a year because its always snowing in Northern Michigan. It only comes out of the garage when driven so its been garage kept since 1978.

That's why it's called a rumor... There are times in life when you have to make a decision based on incomplete data. If the rumors turns out to be false, I still end up with a new truck; if it turns out the rumors are true, I still end up with a new truck. Kinda a win-win situation I guess.

Installed my alpine 450 amp. Sounds good. I upgraded the door speakers with 6x9 Focal three way and the tweeters are the DS18 pro. Also got some wiring work done for the heated seat hook up either tomorrow or Saturday. Should be pretty easy since I have battery power , 12v switch source wired in place so it will just be taking out the center console and run the wires. I installed the rocker switches in the dash. Look like a stock install. I will take pics after the wires are all hooked up and working.

Used my new Warn Evo 10 winch to pull a tree that fell over in my yard. First time the winch ever used (only had it about 2 weeks)

After I pulled the root ball out of the ground l had to pull the other end off the sidewalk

Needed to block my wheels to stop from being pulled forward.

ACX 690 and yes they fit just fine. Bought from CRUTCHFIELD and the free speaker adapters had to be slightly modified and I used aluminum pop rivets to hold the speaker to the adapter. Other than that fit great, and sound even better now that they have a little power running them.

Thanks! I looked at those a while back. Stellar reviews for the price, but crutchfield claimed the mounting depth was too much for the front doors. I've been looking at the key 200.4, rcx-165 for the rear doors, and several different focal options for up front. CDT audio is another contender with their 6x9 subs and unity 8.0 mid/tweeter.

The grille insert finally came in yesterday and I had it installed. 2 months without the truck drove me nuts but I’m glad she’s back

The bugs on your new grill remind me that Spring/Summer are on the way.

I have a Midnight Black Sport and have not installed my vintage TRD grill from Empyre. Bought the gray color letters to break up the solid color which is a good contrast that pops.

Just think about all the truck washing you'll be doing this summer...to cool off!

I wash the front grill/headlights/painted bumper TWICE using a soft-scrub sponge glove to remove the splattered bug guts. That way, I don't have to use bug spray removal.
