285/75/r16 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T’s, Extang 2.0 hard tonneau tri-fold. Billstein 5100’s front/rear with OME 886 coils and Headstrong off-road 3 leaf progressive AAL. All speakers replaced with Kicker CS Series. BulletPoint Taco Bar with stubby CB mic holder and two-way FRS/GMRS radio holder. Uniden PRO505XL 40 ch CB. RCI engine and transmission skid plates. RCI sliders. Garmin Mini Dash Cam 2. CMC by Milogen Fabrication.
Can’t hurt given the rust issues these frames seem to have.

Both trucks are Pro's? If they're both stock and with both having the same traction & crawl control systems it'll come down to tires. The Tacoma with Goodyear Wrangler A/T Adventure w/Kevlar, the 4Runner with the Nitto Terra Grapplers.

The Kevlars are a good tire on the street and maybe some rocks but not at all for mud and while the Nittos aren't for the mud either they'll be a hell of alot better than the Kevlars.

It'll be an interesting & fun experiment for sure and as much as I'd like to see the Tacoma pull it off I'm pretty sure it'll be the 4Runner for the win.

Make sure to get it on video!

Custom, only one ever designed and built interiors, heavily welded frame, all sharp metal turned bed rack and a roof top I made for $75. Power pedal, injen intake system, cat delete, summit racing brake proportioning valve controlled on the fly, slightly adjusted or perhaps unrecognizable ECM, built in under bed storage, high clearance rear built with 1/4" on a 6011 1/8" rod at 120 amps, 360 degrees of led light, a PA and CB, on board air, on board propane (to cook food), on board fridge made from an old red bull fridge found on some guys man cave built into the storage cubby under the back seat, imported tranny and clutch from a good friend over in Europe to replace this aisin junk we get, combined 32 gallons fuel capacity, 18 5 gallons of water storage, built in gun locker under RTT, and all it cost was to hear the wife ramble on about upset neighbors at 2 in the morning every night since I bought that damn truck..
So I couldn't help but notice a slight hitch in my giddyup. Upon investigation I behold a ghastly sight to which even that of Ray Charles would cringe in fear. Ehh, everything is good with some 80 grit sandpaper, a little rattle can and some new RTV. It lasted this long, I reckon it just needs a little oil... since what came out was just dust. Open to suggestions, but I'm thinking 0-20 or maybe 0-16 mobile full synthetic for fuel economy. There can't be that much of a difference between an engine and this strange looking contraption.

Yes I kept the stock coils. Ride quality without a doubt improved as well.

Quick question... I have the 4Runner TRD Pro Bronze wheels [PTR2035110F5] but the dealer just transferred the old chrome lug nuts. Can anyone recommend the appropriate/good black set of lugs for these wheels?

Would be even more interesting (& fun) if you do this, get a champion, and then swap the tires between the two and do it all again.
