Some new wheels. Dx4 nitros. Already had the ultraterrains on the stock wheels.

Yep, I challenge myself to get the best mpg possible on the way home every time I fill up. I was at 26 in front of my house once and by the time I backed into the driveway it was already down to about 21. For the record, I only average between 16-17.5 usually.

Nothing today, but I went out yesterday too. Was chasing crappies since the bass/pike/walleye season is not open yet. Ended up with 7 bass and 2 crappies. Im going out again tomorrow for crappies again, but this time to a lake stocked with rainbow trout... so its going to be a trout day im sure.

There is a grommet under the driver seat. Just ran it under the carpet from there to the trim piece then back under the seat. If the radio stays I will probably go under the center console but wanted to make sure I liked the spot.

While a little harder to get to, there is a nice grommet on the back of the cab between the cab and bed. You have to remove the drivers side rear cubby, then fish your arm behind the C pillar trim.

I was considering pulling the cubbies off behind the back seat and taking a look. I like that spot a little better than where I have, I will have to keep evaluating this install before I decide where to run everything. I’m thinking of going with a high db gain antenna also so I’ll be running a new wire with that. May use this spot then. Thanks for the suggestion!

I originally ran my antenna like yours till I found the one in the back of the cab. I have since removed my CB, but plan to install a GSMR radio in the future, but I will be putting the antenna in the front and using this grommet in the engine bay. Going to use a surface mount antenna jack so when the winter destroys another antenna cable, I can just unplug it from the firewall and put in the new one without having to rip apart the inside of the truck.

That’s a great idea too! I will have to consider this route also. I’m wanting to go with a taller antenna with a higher gain and it wouldn’t need to be on the top of the truck so I could use a mount on the front of the truck and use the surface mount like that. That’s probably the cleanest way and easy to swap out the antenna wire if/when something happens to it.

I’m thinking of going uninformed having matching brand parts. Really considering all CBI parts, but the C4 stuff looks good too.

You can also get water proof caps that screw onto the end to keep it protected when you dont have the antenna on. The only thing, you need to solder the cable yourself. The hole is too cramped to fit the end with a plug on it through as its right behind the HVAC box. But you can fish the cable through, then solder a plug to the end (really easy to do).

Blacked out the OEM wheels. Not sure if I like the black wheels but definitely better than the chrome. I might go with bronze or white when I buy new wheels.
