Nah...........It was never chrome. its silver like the steering wheel, door and main dash trim. I dont mind the silver at all, and actually prefer it to the 4V6 in spots like the steering wheel trim, cup holder and huge center dash trim. Since there is a lot of silver OEM, keeping it in spots like the cup holder, door and steering wheel brings the whole interior package together IMHO.

Color trim looks good on some parts on the interior but begins to looks a bit goofy to me when it starts to appear in larger portions.
When buying the chrome delete package I intentionally left out the steering wheel trim, steering wheel center overlay, and cup holder.
Honestly, I probably would have left out the climate control rings too since they were silver as well, but unlike the other parts for whatever reason I couldnt leave those out of the order.

Bingo! I honestly did not even think about doing anything with the interior when I bought my truck. As soon as it got here back in Feb, I didnt think about it either...............
Then I started reading posts on TW. THEN I started noticing all the "plasticized" chrome pieces all over the interior. It really didnt bother me up to that point, then after the plastic chrome parts are all I noticed.

I must be an outlier, I think the shiny bits on the interior are tastefully done

Dang those lights look slick. What set up did you use for the lights in the rails on the soft topper ?

    Oh look, another mod....

What you need is this patch (just like the one I earned many years ago - back when the black beret was earned, not issued):

Thanks! It’s the Matt Gecko kit for bed rails and Softopper. I just disassembled the Softopper rails so I could slide on heat shrink as well to help the 3M tape out.

Same. I was under the impression it was white when I ordered mine. But its actually a nice silver color which matched my silver sky taco quite nicely

Added raptor lights from Runnin 4 Tacos…

I wanted them to be more spread out but they wouldn’t fit on the outer ends. I know I could shave them but I just don’t want to mess with them at the moment. I also was hoping they would come on with just daylight running lights, but they wouldn’t. They had to be full on headlights. So I switched to the fuse where they are always on. They look amazing, not gonna lie. That amber color with the Barcelona Red is pretty tight!

Next mod will be an awesome vinyl decal sticker… stay tuned!

ARE Z Series w/ Satin Black Rhino Liner on it. I personally love the topper - best looking one out there. Some people don’t like the Z Series because the side windows don’t fully open (they only vent). Doesn’t matter for my use.
