Im not planning on either/or, I'm getting all. I just happen to have a little bit more extra spending cash, and the chrome bothered me. Lift, integrated hitch bumper, winch are all coming, I just need to wait for all that junk until my warranty runs out. The interior package was something that could be cosmetically done without any chance of the dealership idiots trying to say something if I have issues down the line while under warranty.

So not a question of getting an interior package instead of bumpers/lift/which/tune, its an interior package and bumpers/lift/winch/tune.

Today I jammed a pool noodle in the space between the cab and bed. Saw this trick in a few threads here. May seem small, but it sure feels like it has made a big difference in road noise. After a trip on the highway I realized I hadn't needed to jack up the volume to be able to hear my podcast/music, in fact I hadn't thought about the cabin noise at all. it was something that annoyed me a bit before and I found pretty noticeable at speed. It didn't make the cabin Bentley-quiet or anything, but for a $3 piece of foam and 2 minutes spent under the truck I think it was totally worth it. Disclaimer, I didn't do a real scientific test, no actual measurement, so could be placebo.

See Meclizine's post at https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...eduction-solution-by-15db-or-so.740602/page-6 for an example pic as I don't feel like crawling back under the truck right now.

I appreciate you posting this as I just got two noodles in different sizes in preparation for this. The skinnier of the two looks like it’ll be the one.
Did you leave it just at the opening as depicted in the pic you linked, or push it up six inches as described by the post just below it?

Added an extinguisher to the back. Amarex B402T, came with a vehicle mount. I wouldn't exactly call it heavy-duty, but it does hold it securely.

I jammed it in just a bit further than that pic. I can't say I "installed" it in a very scientific manner, just shoved it in past the slightly protruding lower lip on the bed side until it felt secure. I figure as long as it's between the road and the vents it'll work. The pool noodle I used felt smaller than the standard size I remember as a kid so skinnier sounds right to me. I got lucky as I mentioned the idea to my wife, she called me when she found a noodle in the store and the sizing just happened to be right.

Re-welded the cracked portion of my spindle gussets, added more reinforcement to them, bolt checked the whole rig, and finished up trimming my grille/finished up the lightbar behind the grille. Ready for 4 days of dune bashing/wheeling!
