Got my truck back from the dealership. They had it for two months to fix the 3rd brake light leak. As soon as I got it back, I put the bed rack and tent on, added some custom made roof rack handles, added the refurbished pelican case to the rack. Its nice to have my truck back.

Looks good. Ceramic tint ftw. Might want to add some to the rear windows as well though if you're looking to block heat as the privacy glass does not have any heat-blocking abilities. Do the windshield with 70% while you're at it. ;)

So far it’s worked well and was cheap. Just an option for you.

Iam about to install some Katzkins now that the weather is nice. Did you follow any particular directions? Hints/tips?
Did you use a steamer to aid the install?

The install is pretty straightforward. I just followed the YouTube install video from CaliRaised. My pointers:

    1. Check all the hardware and lay it out before starting. Two reasons; there are half inch and 5/8 long bolts that look the same. So nice to be certain. Second, mine came with two wrong sized nuts so avoid any headaches by accounting for everything first.

    2. The only thing I deviated in terms of install was the roof molding. Instead of removing completely, I used the UpTop method by punching holes at the 5 mounting portions in each molding. I then threaded the screws down in each hole to ensure any paint that was caked in the threads came out. Then I placed the molding back on, filed the threads with silicone upto the surface of the molding and set the spacers in. I had no issues threading the bolts.

    3. Make sure you have a 10mm ratcheting wrench. It’ll make tightening the last mounting bolts on the rear most mounts easy. They’re located under the extrusions and you can’t get a socket in there. I didn’t even have a 10mm regular wrench and had to use an adjustable wrench which took forever.

    4. Try to do it out of the sun. The black aluminum heats up in minutes and makes it really hot to the touch.

    Hopefully this helps!

Not sure, I used one from Amazon. They positively click into each other and the closed barrel pins really grab the wire well. They seem like they should hold up forever.

This is really awesome. I’m going to go ahead and order them. Best part is they can be installed without removing the extrusion. I’m thinking I’m going to install them to the under side of the extrusions to completely hide the wiring. Thank you so much for this!
