This arrived yesterday! Now to get it powder coated and find time to chop up the front of the truck. Also ordered a Cali Raised aluminum skid plate

Replaced the chrome bumper caps with painted ones from eBay. Surprised to see how cheap and flimsy the plastic rear bumper is. Probably would have been better off with a solid metal one, but these were only about $170ish with tax. Good enough for now I guess. :notsure:

Installed a header rail and mounted my traction boards with some parts from Ace hardware yesterday. Pretty much just a 3/8” threaded rod, nut and plastic nut cover.

Not a 3rd Gen, but changed the transmission fluid on my wifes Mazda3 M/T hatch and found a blown strut, now she wants me to lift it. :p

Hard to do, as all aftermarket support is centered around slamming it. Tried to convince her to let me throw Mazda 5 springs on to buy once cry once, but she balked, so spacer lift it is, ah well can’t win em all…

If you want that mileage best to change the oil and filter at 5K miles, not the recommended 10K miles. Yes, the oil can go that far but not the filter.

did you have to tweak the rail at all?

i ordered one off ebay, same part number that everyone else said worked, but it was about a 3/8" fatter than the oem rails on the truck. all my typical rail hardware would pull straight through as soon as i got close to torqueing everything up. i had ordered about 2 months ago so instead of complaining, i just creatively narrowed it in a vice. works the same, just a lot more custom than i imagined it would be
