Hilarious reply. Thanks dude I agree. Insurance gave me a good estimate. I trust the shop I took it to as well. Willing to say it was half my fault. I’ll upload some pics once it’s repaired.

It shouldn’t matter, culpability wise, whether he was on the phone or not. He rear ended you, so the accident is his fault.

Thanks! And for those asking, the bumper is an RCI powder coated white and I covered the top/plate area with Raptor liner

 But is it removable for a reason? Screws would give you a way to remove it, taping wouldn't allow such an easy way to remove it. I don't know much about the snorkle and maintenance of one, so if it never needs to be removed then tape away. What about PVC joint glue?

Tacoma-1, Acura-0. Nice job, were there any scratches?--scratch that, saw your other post. I watched the vid 3+ times, he was looking down, but at what? Great evidence. 10 out of 10!

Used a Redside Electric illumination harness to illuminate the heated seat switches. No pics of the install as this was a quicky, but I do have some pics of the switches illuminated.

Great video!!!! What camera are you using?

Although when you get rear-ended its obviously not your fault, but with this evidence there should be nyet, nada, nothing for the perp to say to the contrary.

:rofl:It was the guy in the Acuras fault, 100%. Why would the insurance companies divide responsibility 50/50?

100%. You rear end somebody you are at fault......Fail to reduce speed to avoid a collision.... following to close, etc.

These statements tend to be true only when the vehicle being rear-ended is not in motion. Backing accidents are quite frequently the backer’s fault.

That said, it’s easier for a vehicle in forward motion to spot someone backing up into their lane. Personally, I will stop and wait 99% of the time for that reason, but that is courtesy not legal obligation.
